Sara does play guitar in a band, but it’s as likely she’s out watching someone else play

Thing is, how many live albums are really 'live' ?

In many instances isn't it widely accepted that bands try to fix mistakes or make tweaks, meaning that only a certain percentage of a live album is actually live........and the rest of what you hear is actually performed in the studio as an overdub, which is then mixed into the live recording to make it all sound seamless.

I doubt many live albums are actually the band getting on stage, playing their set and that being recorded and that being committed to vinyl/tape etc..

That’s a heck of a line-up Sara. Must have a listen to some of recommendations .

Thing is, are there some of those 50+ albums I haven't got, should have a pride of place on my shelves?

Yes and Charlie Harper must be getting near to a letter from the King now , he was old , for a punk , when the band started out. Got to be near the ton now 😄. Mind you , an energetic pensioner .

I found lead singers the hardest to put up with , they thought they were the be all and end all of a band when it is really the lead guitarist.

Though 32 doesn't sound old , this was a new music genre coming through, it was mainly people of 20ish or under involved.,.then you get your youth involved later, I think maybe the only older person involved in a band that was punk related might be Jet Black ( Stranglers ) ......mind you Debbie Harry is 78 now I think so she wasn't average punkster age , but US punk was around before UK.....get ready for the argument in that one 😄 .

Do you play?
I was a roadie had a great time doing it worked for 4 different bands in the 80s. Was on the dole at the time and got paid cash in hand so it was good extra money .
