They're still on big wages for the Championship. Bamford is on £35k a week, for a half fit, injured, sitter missing 'striker'.

So, we have no striker for Sunday vs Cardiff? You really could not make this up!

I'd put Sinisterra up front.

It's worth a punt. Other than that it'll probably be Dan James.

Ah back to normality I see

The whole positional thinking business went out with the ark but most fans haven't seemed to notice.

Leeds could buy a box of matches and they would all be wet on the inside

At least it wouldn't be a fire sale.

Good lad Geronimo, good to see you being positive for a change.

Seems like another Orta transfer window really ...only the bugger has gone elsewhere now , luckily of course 😄😄. New owners it would appear same strategy as before, and of course the usually blighted with injury scenario .

The new LUFC board is a laughing stock and fans who say Farke is giving the remaining players an opportunity to show what they can is a load of rubbish. We already know at least 8 players have left and so far only 1 incoming to replace. Darlow is currently additional to existing keeper so does not count.

So either 49's do not have the cash OR do not know what they are doing.
Leeds need to bring in a midfielder who can score goals and a decent number 9 in Jan 2027.

In the 2020/21 delayed season which began on 12th September, five games into that campaign we signed Raphinha on the 5th October, he didn't make his debut until the 19th October.

So we have another 26 days to make the appropriate signings.

At the moment it looks like both, hope I'm proved seriously wrong by the end of the transfer window, if the past is anything to go by, I won't hold my breath, no, not pessimistic either, just realistic.

Looking at the games we have during the next 26 days we SHOULD win each one so if we had the incoming players now i would forecast that we will win all these and top the table. Why would a club not get the players in Now rather than wait 26 days and please tell us all What is the club waiting for. We can all see we need incomings players now

I suspect the club have carefully selected the players they are after & waiting for their imminent availability.

Salaries & FFP may come into the equasion, too.

I don't get all this FFP thing, surely, like every other team, we could go over it a bit, that would then enable to get in a striker we desperately need, not just for this league but for t'future.
Big deal if we overspend this season, I thought it was over a 3 yr period, 3 yrs will give us time to recuperate the money anyhow.

We do have time but it's understandable people are concerned

1 out field signing having lost multiple first team players and our own manager even admitting he worked with a squad of 16 a few days before the new season is what most people would have expected from Radz and Orta.

So far this looks very much like the previous regime.

People pointed the finger at Radz and Orta understandably

But maybe Kinnear and the 49ers were far from innocent either.

I suspect they weren't (I've never believed they were innocent bystanders and not to forget the 49ers were going to keep Orta on). As for Kinnear he's every bit to blame as Radz and Orta.

Did the 49ers really not know what they were walking into ? They reportedly paid for Rutter, just handed over £35mil and had no further involvement? Either not true or they are just as naive and daft as Radz.

We still have time yes but it's OK for people to express concern imo

Doesn't make them negative or whatever people like to fire at them.
Signed

I shall be very disappointed if we don't make improvements to our squad come the end of August, Cjay.

We need a left-back.
A CB if Cooper goes
Back-up for Ampadu or to play alongside him, especially if Adams departs.
We've never replaced Pablo.
And a prolific striker at this level.

Much work to be done in & out.

Thinking like this is only creating a rod for our own back.

Pablo was a generational one off, you cant replace the likes of him.

He was the best playmaker we have had since DaCourt, they don't come along that often.

I thought so too, FFP is very complex which involves details we are not aware of I suspect.

Other clubs find replacements, Ian.

Since Taylor left, we have struggled to find a decent left-back.

We didn't sign a central midfielder for four seasons until last year.

We haven't signed a proper No.9 since Bamford in god knows how many years.

Is it any wonder why we have gone into decline, because of no forward-thinking in vital areas of our squad?

Yes it doesn't look good at the moment but I am pretty shore its all down to the finances. Victor O just made deals without really thinking about it and now all the payments for instalments are going out the door. The players are either injured or sent out on loan giving Leeds no value for the investment of the millions laid out. Ok its a shambles but it can be sorted, when the window shuts and no other players can leave then maybe we can use the loan market to get a few bodies in the door. I am under no illusion that Leeds are going to do well in the championship, with the current squad its 10th or slightly lower. The only shining light is we actually have a good manager, the clowns of the past have gone with one remaining but hopefully he will be shown the door soon. Chin up guys we are rebuilding and its going to take time...
