Re: Leeds Utd v Cardiff City Match Thread
Probably not a great mix a coach with a reputation for being less than brilliant defensively and 3 defenders starting plus the goalie who have been part of one of the worst defences in the league for 2 years.
Our issues are obvious.
No 10 to play the eye of the needle passes, no proper striker to play off.
Perkins on maybe for James whose been his usual self?
I'd also bring Cresswell for Struijk or Cooper whichever and Byram for Ayling
But it's the usual not taking chances then can't defend.
Not a shock with the same players who've had the same issues for years
We need signings now not in 1 2 3 weeks

Surely that has to be the end of Ayling now? It's embarrassing watching him.
Shack, Darlow, Cresswell should all start next week over Ayling, Meslier and Struijk.

Re: Leeds Utd v Cardiff City Match Thread
Last 2 seasons defender and Meslier need to go! I kow we are massively depleted and we have no strikers but with this defense we wil not stop conceding! Meslier/Ayling/Struijk/Cooper need to go. I know it's early doors and I know 49'ers will turn it around but we really do need to clear out these hangers on and rebuild completely. And soon! If we don't, we could be back in League One next season (that cannot happen).
I'm not all doom and gloom: I half expected this today. It just highlights that the old guard needs to go and we need to start afresh. At least today will be an eye-opener for Marathe et el...

Feel sorry for Archie Gray, his big day ruined by so called "experienced" players

Could be a blessing in disguise
Old Angus no doubt still telling the owners how wonderful a squad Victor built.
Hopefully opens some eyes

Marathe is on the phone to Radz "Is it too late to say I've changed my mind?"

Lots of positives in certain positions.
Sini been excellent, Gray and Ampadu been good (both goals from the wing so they were bypassed)
Summerville and Gnonto also playing well.
And then there is the flip side…

That defence is the worst in history but somehow they're still here still getting sliced apart. Is there no logic anymore ? Leaks don't fix themselves.

Re: Leeds Utd v Cardiff City Match Thread
When you cant find an opening at one end when on top is inevitable you leak chances at the other end.
This game has Millwall at home vibes from about three years ago.
0-2 at HT and we won.
First 10 ten minutes is crucial. Get a goal and we will win.

Re: Leeds Utd v Cardiff City Match Thread
I'd thought I'd seen the back of James last year, but here he is again totally clueless as usual. Seems to me it's the same old Leeds story...heaps of running around and possession, woeful central defence, no recognised left back and no effective striker up front. What else does one expect then but the same old results?
