Yea, I posted this other day, we really do need someone who can put the chances in and in this window.
If bamford has to be back up cause nobody wants him then fine, just not our go to talisman
I just want this window shut before anyone leaves for nothing, also get those injured players back asap giving Farke a chance to see who he wants.

Football is riddled with rituals and superstitions. Don Reive was famous for always wearing a blue suit to games... fans have their socks or shirts or scarves that are lucky and they will always wear them on match day.

Why do players touch the grass of the pitch before crossing themselves... or if they are of a different religious persuasion lift their hands heavenwards in prayer. Raphinha walking on his knees. Why does Egypt star Mohamed Salah celebrate goals by kneeling with his head on the ground?

Why do players like Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez and also our own Pablo Hernandez kiss their wrists after scoring a goal?

Why did Alioski always rattle the tunnel structure before playing a game?

All of these gestures must correlate to some thought process in the brain and be meaningful to the players or fans that perform them.

Phil Hay keeps saying that the only player we might benefit from that is Brendan Aaronson. The others are dwindling down contracts.

The club knows this too, thus them trying to get Aarons in too. Will be interesting to see what happens this week. We need more players!

Not a great signing. I'd hope for something better. But we are championship. He's better than we've currently got available. Would expect him to be behind a fit Bamford. But he would be a good addition to the squad.

Would have been ideal. But I think he was one of only 2 available defenders on the bench.

He's off to a good start with 2 goals and 1 assist in the first 3 games. If Farke could just refrain from sticking him out on the wing and play him up top it could work well for us.

That matters.

So he needs eased in or those hamstrings will be popping.
It does Matt.

Drameh will be nowhere fit without a pre-season.

More likely to happen than players coming in.

Btw, has anyone seen an outstanding performance from Drameh in our first team?

Look at Archie, fits into a new set-up like a glove, he's a natural.

Are Leeds Utd cursed?

I'd say yes. Or as Just Joe puts it.... we must be the only club in the world to attract skint people from the Middle East. The way this club has been run over the years is a curse on us all.

Saints plan Drameh swoop.

I can't see him hanging around but we need him. The fact the club wanted Arrons tells its own story. £3m seems to low tho.

Leeds will only pocket £23m for Tyler Adams.

I don't how it all works.. He cost us £20m i think so that gives us a profit of £3m. Yippee. Gnonto is where the real money will be.

No but you stated he has a lack of fitness due to missing pre season. Which is true.
But he isn't going to get fit sitting on the first team bench. The U21's game was the ideal time to get some minutes. Someone in the U21's who has had a full pre season could have sat on the first team bench.

Over the years, I cannot imagine how many points we have lost due to the incompetence or corruption or both, of referees. Friday nights game, only the 3rd of the season, was yet another one where, but for a clearly anomalous decision, we should have had the 3pts our performance probably deserved.

That is a really sickly smile from Adams. I suspect he has no intention of staying at Bournemouth for any longer than he needs to (any port in a storm, and the only port who would take him) and will show them the same loyalty as he has shown us i.e. none at all. I’m sure he will have had a relegation get out clause inserted into his contract as he obviously sees the Championship as being beneath his ability, yet he’s already contributed to one relegation, let’s see if he can contribute to another. I wouldn’t bet against it!
To be fair to Adams, his being injured had a lot to do with our getting relegated. We were fairly safe until he got hurt.

Didnt you notice that we didnt have a full bench on Friday? It would have been madness to send him off the play elsewhere

Im sure if we were not chasing the game he would have been brought in.

Give him time, then we will find out he aint that hot either

“Fairly safe” but not safe enough as it turned out. I appreciate what you’re saying and tend to agree that the rot really set in after he got injured. We may have avoided relegation had he not been injured or we may not, who knows? It’s certainly true to say that he was part of the team that got themselves into the “not safe enough” situation in the first place, had we won a game or two more when he was playing then the team would have staved off relegation.

The team as a whole, and that includes Adams, we’re just not good enough for the Premier League.

Perkins should have been on the bench, Drameh should have been at OT. The 21's can play Thomas or Charlie Allen up top. Marcelo used to rotate 21's if we needed bench fillers, so that one player wouldn't be sat on the bench not playing elsewhere all the time

God he was a genius, everything thought of.
