Made his name at Hoffenheim where he was considered a vital part of the side by former manager Julian Nagelsmann.
Moved to Bayern Leverkusen shortly after Nagelsmann left for Bayern and has gone on to make over 50 appearances for the club including last season where he managed 4 goals and 1 assist.
Was once considered a future German national team star and had links to clubs such as Arsenal when at Hoffenheim.

I like many others on here cannot see tweets or twitter links: they just don't work in my browser. Your post is just blank on my PC screen. This is what shows in my browser...

I've pretended to support a team that's been crap for most of my life as part of a long term plan

What were our midfielders stats last year regarding goals assists?
Ok, so we are going that route? Anything better than total 5h1te will do right? Not for me: I need positive stats. I see he's played for Germany 6 times: well so has Robbing c**k!!!

Yes i've just woke up to this this morning, now how do fans want us to go about buying new players after the last clowns fiasco huh ?
Do we jump in with both feet on owt with two legs and a head, or do we trust DF to try and find them, can proper scouting take place over a matter of a few weeks, do we chance it and spend spend spend with money we don't know we've got, or is there a sensible approach....Perhaps finding the right balance ? Remember what Bert said when he was having a dig at the clowns buys " Only if they're ....what was it again ?
Now if DF knows him, i'll go with it...
Leeds United have made a move to sign Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Nadiem Amiri with a four-year deal on offer.
Daniel Farke wants to raid the German market with Leeds United now making a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Nadiem Amiri.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Leeds have now sent a ‘formal bid’ to Leverkusen for Amiri.
It’s stated that Leeds boss Farke is driving this interest and wants to bring Amiri to Elland Road before the transfer deadline.
Romano claims that Leeds have now offered Amiri a four-year deal and have left him to make up his mind.
Leeds are far from alone in the race to sign Amiri though.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported just a few days ago that Marseille were leading the race to sign Amiri.
It was stated that Amiri had a verbal agreement with Marseille and the French side were in talks with Leverkusen over a deal.
Leverkusen were thought to be demanding up to €7million (£6million) for Amiri but Marseille wanted to pay less.
Leeds may now be moving in to hijack that deal with Amiri being offered a move to Elland Road.
Who is Leeds United target Nadiem Amiri?
Amiri spent time in the youth ranks of Kaiserslautern and Waldhof Mannheim before heading to Hoffenheim in 2012.
The attacking midfielder became a first-team star with Hoffenheim, racking up 13 goals and 13 assists in 115 games for the club.
Amiri made his name under Julian Nagelsmann, who hailed the playmaker as a ‘special player’ during their time together.
Bayer Leverkusen pounced in 2019, paying around €9million (£7.7million) to lure Amiri away from Hoffenheim.
Amiri has now played 138 times for Leverkusen, bagging 12 goals and 19 assists along the way.
Amiri hasn’t been a vital player at Leverkusen for a while now and was even loaned out to Genoa back in 2022.
The 26-year-old scored against Farke’s Borussia Monchengladbach side last season, firing what proved to be the winner in a 3-2 Leverkusen victory.
Farke may well have remembered Amiri’s impact in that game and now wants him in West Yorkshire.
Now inside the final year of his contract, Amiri needs a fresh start away from Leverkusen and Leeds could be his new home.
