Bless him :)

You can see how pleased he is and how desperate he is for it to work here.

I'm sure he could have left, Farke said as much.

But he choose to stay, to be the main man and learn his craft in a tough and physical league.

The price tag isn't his fault (and I know I have held it against him subconsciously).

But he's a good lad with talent and hopefully having Piroe here to learn from and lean on for support will help.
I think he deserves our support now. He is showing great determination on the field at both ends of the pitch. He's Leeds and he knows he is......

Millwall (h)

Good

8 runs
5 ball recoveries
4 dribbles
4 decent passes
2 interceptions
2 attacking headers won
1 tackle won
1 defensive clearance
1 goal
1 assist

Bad
2 poor passes

Georginino is developing a wonderful partnership with Piroe & playing the game with a big smile on his face :)

Strange performance from Georgie.

Link play was good, used his body well to hold the ball up, had a decent effort or two.

And yet that miss 1st half was so so bad.

Bamford would be getting hammered if that was him.

Rutter was getting hammered from those near me in the away end, make no mistake about that.

Not a bad miss in my book and it needs to been seen from behind to see why. One of the toughest finishes is running at speed towards the goal, his second touch at pace wasn't perfect. He did still get a goal bound shout away placing it to the keepers left. Great work from the keeper to stick a foot out

Those get missed more often than not

Rutter's touch for Sumerville's volley (our best chance superbly executed) was sublime and again took an excellent save

Very good game from Georginio again

It wasn't his fault that such a ridiculous fee was paid for him and it was so unfortunate to land at Leeds United when they were on such a slippery slope with a parade of rubbish Head Coaches at the helm. Plus the guy was, and I guess is, quite inexperienced. I wondered if he would be part of the exodus of players in the last Transfer Window.

Anyway, he's here with what looks like a decent coach and in a team that is looking promising in the Championship. It is very early days yet but game by game he is showing flashes of a very good player. Also he looks like he is growing in confidence, enjoying his football and pleasantly surprisingly putting himself about a bit on the pitch. So hopefully he will carry on developing and building on the tentative partnership with Piroe. They are both trying to sort out their roles on the pitch but if they keep interchanging like they have been doing there won't be many complaints. So yeah - things not looking too dusty on the Georginio front and should get even better if he starts putting it together consistently

At the moment it looks like Gelhardt is behind Rutter and Piroe in the pecking order for the First Team and the same would apply to Patrick Bamford when he finds some period of fitness. Indeed I think Matteo Joseph is a damned good prospect to be blooded into the team this season to come in at the later stages in matches.

How was the Summerville volley from outside the box our best chance ? Rutter had a one on one with no real defensive pressure.
The goalkeeper is never the favourite in those situations. I am not concerned he didn’t score it was the manner of the execution. Hopefully, he will be a better player for that experience.

Your favourites can never do any wrong, however a player who you do not rate will be the subject of criticism at nearly every turn.
Then again it is difficult to provide a balanced opinion if you have a preconceived opinion on a topic.

There are several factors why a game isn’t won, but Rutter has now missed our two best chances in both our 0-0 draws. Fans don’t forget things like that.

Yes, he’s scored two goals for us, but in those games we scored 3 and 4 goals. It’s the tight games fans remember when chances are missed.

For what it’s worth, I like the lad, and think he’s got something, just needs to be the hero every now and again and grab that winner.

It's a good point. I guess GR is in his honeymoon period. There are some strikers who always seem to try to score "pretty" goals and I think GR is one of those as opposed to others, like Lee Chapman of old, who don't really care how they get the ball in the onion bag.

As was stated by someone earlier, had this been a case of Patrick Bamford fluffing his lines he would have been severely pilloried. I do think though that GR is nicely finding his feet so let's hope he can fine tune his radar PDQ.

I saw Farke grab hold of Rutter at the final whistle, and he was talking to him for some time, presumably about this.

Personally, don’t have a problem with it, Rutter was flying today and was right to enjoy his time. That said, can’t have any complaints when a burly defender puts him into row Z for showboating 😂

Well it might be that DF has seen something that wasn't right to him and perhaps had something to say to Rutter about this. No problem with that as it is part of his job to make sure his players fly right. I can't however see the point or benefit of putting the issue in the public domain. Honesty is always welcome but sometimes discretion is the better option which I feel should have been the case on this occasion.

I saw him scoot past opposition and beautifully play in Anthony for the 3rd goal. Surely that can't be the case of embarrassing or disrespecting an opponent? If it was something else I can't say I saw it

I can’t remember anything disrespectful at all either, as I say he just seemed to be enjoying himself and after a performance like that who can blame him.

What was the context of Farkes comments?
Seems an odd thing to come out and say though.

But the boss needs to balance discipline with the joy of the players enjoying the game.

Was a lovely game, Rutter reminds of at a very young Ronaldo. (Sorry for mentioning his name on here)

I think it’s more a case of Farke warning him that opponents won’t stand for him taking the piss and he’ll become a target rather than telling him not to do it, choose his moments maybe?
