The bone of contention for me is that the option to buy is linked to a ridiculous fee of £1.5m. It is a give away price. Not that I know the details but whoever on the Leeds side signed off on that needs their crust smacking! A more realistic figure in today's inflated transfer market would have been £5m and a snip at that
The reality is Greenwood is very unlikely to attract a premiership club. He has no real history of first team football. If the club want to get some money back on him then the price has to be realistic. There are very few Championship clubs who buy a player for 5 million.
When the deal was made I think most would not have raised their eyebrows. His value has only risen because he has scored a few goals recently. He might turn out to be good value for Borough, like Davis was for Ipswich. But it is way too early to tell.

If Gyabi cost us £5m, Greenwood is worth more imo! Lets face it, Sam has played in the Premier League & scored his only first-team goal in our comeback vs Bournemouth.

Yes, Orta got stitched up there by Citeh.
Now had it been the likes of Lewis & Palmer who stood out for me whenever they appeared in the Citeh team, that would have been a different kettle of fish altogether. We were even regularly linked with Foden when he was aged 12yo but, there was no way Pep would allow him to leave Citeh.
