I wish they'd let the so called big boys bugger off and not come back, not invited to lake in any cup competitions either, they would soon lose their fan base in the UK.
like Scottish independence, if you keep knocking on the door enough times its going to happen one day.
when it does kick them all out then let the greedy beggars play their reserves in the English leagues. starting in the Conference.
The thing is they don't want to bugger off, they want or wanted a super league while maintaining prem status, the plan being to play "B" teams for the most part but full strength when they wanted.. Which of course is fair as someone like Leeds could play 90% of the Man City top team one week and then Fulham get to play the B team the following week as a ESL game is scheduled
I'd be fine with a ESL as long as the squads remain seperate for the whole season. e.g, Anyone in the ESL squad cannot play in the prem all season

What if the fans backlash and stop going, once they've stopped for a while they won't bother again, very fine line.
Fans will finally realise they can do other things with their time and money

Our group have often spoken about this, albeit more in relation to season ticket prices.
I can’t see me stopping going now, for one thing I’d drive the Mrs crackers being at home all the time.

It's coming though isn't it? Whether this way or via Saudi money.
The Super League stuff just seems to half baked tough, Real and Barca paniking because they are hemorrhaging cash.
It certainly looks like something is getting closer, but as you say with UAE, Saudi and Qatari money is that something more global? The Premier League is so successfull and dominant it's hard to see English clubs risk losing the goose lays a golden egg and fan ownership will always be an issue for German clubs.
Chance for us, any team could be a top European team if enough money is thrown at them. Give us half a billion for joining, TV money, and prize money and we can raid the top Premier clubs for players plus we have the fan base ..

Is there anyone on here that actually favours it ?
Not dependent on Google, the www or 'stats' - Just a guy that puts his eyes to full use on the beautiful game ...That Ayling goal and "You couldn't script it " - Dirty Leeds B@stard.
Must dash.

Not in favour of it by a long chalk.
But the professional league has way too many tiers and clubs in my opinion and I would like to see some changes but not this.

I’ve scanned all the local news, and I can confirm: to date Stranraer FC have not denied they will be interested in joining the ESL.

If we were still in the EU and subject to their laws then this is likely to be in play now. The ruling would come down on the side of the Clubs over the ruling bodies. The threat of expulsion from the Premiership would be gone and at that point the "big 4/5/6" would have to work out the pros and cons of playing two long seasons and both cups...
They'd likely have enough money to build a second squad to challenge for the Prem and play kids in the cups so it'd be doable. And it might balance out the premiership more
Where I'd disagree is changing the set up as it stands, a specialist on the radio said the "big 4/5/6" would likely want the league cup scrapped and a 16 team premiership

Sod that. It’s time we go back to taking cup games seriously. Let them all go who want to, but they are not allowed to play in any of our leagues or cups. They go they stay out.

The premier league is a s**t league to be honest, it's heavily biased in favour of a few... something needs to happen to redress the balance
Personally I'd gone strict salary cap ... with a bonus limit
