Farke has a unique way of letting his players know, they are not good enough, as is the case with the Meslier/Klaesson situation.

He is probably right with his assessment.

Yeah, that wasn't a great way to treat Klaesson. I've made the point elsewhere that Farke seemed intent on punishing Rodon for picking up a red card, and publicly criticising him.

He benched Rodon, and called him out in a presser.

Yet, Meslier does the same and Farke is creaming himself that Mes has served his ban. No benching and no public criticism.

That's an unfair and inconsistent approach, and that will surely have been noted and commented on by the players.

Broken biscuits at the back, players not good enough being moved on, so we are back to the old scenario of square pegs in round holes to see us through the season unless we have a few surprise incomings.

We have the luxury of only having to play one game a week for the next month or so, so a bit of patience is required with regards to incomings, which I'm sure will happen

Amps will be a big loss in midfield. I can't see Byram being rushed back so soon so i think it will be Firpo. The usual set-piece jitters are already on my mind. It will be a better game tomorrow to see how Gruev gets on. We could be relying on the front boys to do the damage again for us tomorrow and lets hope they are on it.

So what is the solution if Rodon & Struijk are unavailable, the strongest cog of our defence/team imo?

Is there anyone as good as Ampadu?

Can any of our forwards do what Bamford gives us up top?

Take Summerville out of our team, god help us! Some will say Gnonto & Anthony could replace Cree, really?

Our board only took full control last August, but by October/November, they should have been looking at the long term picture & planning ahead for the January transfer market, maybe they have a couple of defenders in mind as it was rumoured they would be bringing in two loan signings. I truly hope so, or else we will be winging it, as the championship is a long old season.

What seems unbelievable is that there should be any delay in signing up full backs and at least one centre back during this window.

Many were hoping we'd have the luxury of looking at a 10 in this window but with the gaps opening at the back that's the fire that will have to be put out first, and fast.

Surely Gray is an option for midfield tomorrow and keep Shackleton at RB? His direct play could help unlock this lot.

Why do we have so many fans that seem to pick on the negatives so much. What if this or that player gets injured, what if this or that doesn't go well.
Why cant we look at things in a more positive light, what if this or that player stays fit and plays well, what if certain things go well and we keep winning games.

Point is, Rodon first card at the KC was never a yellow, you'd have thought Farke would have backed him up on that one. It backfired on him though as we conceded three goals at the St Mary's, something we haven't done since, yes we have lost games by the odd goal, but we've never looked like we concede a hatful.

Yes but for a different reason. Playing him as a defender means he isn't learning the game as a proper box to box type.of player who.cpukd be the engine room of our squad in seasons to come.
