Think it would be better if one of the mods posted on the thread that it would be closing in 10 minutes so that people have the chance to finish a thread they are writing. Mods can always then move posts accross.

How come we were 10 times better in the second half?

Was really impressive how we started the second half. Was expecting Sheff Wed to come out in the second half will all guns blazing but we bossed it and should have been 3-0 up before Wed got back into the game a bit, albeit without ever really threatening.

1st half was a slog.

Created nothing, looked vulnerable at the back as Wednesday were very organised.

Front 4 were careless in possession.

The goal changed the game, great ball from Firpo and nice movement from Bamford.

2nd half different game, Wendies couldn't sit back as much and spaces opened up more.

Ampadu was immense as were Gruev and Kamara.

Rutter was imo hit and miss but showed his usual moments of class.

Gnonto was a class act at times and Bamford grew into the game and did very well for the 2nd.

Can't forget that 1st half save from Meslier.

Only small concern is again our little number 10, he needs resting its been weeks since he had any impact.

Much better 2nd half, 1st goal crucial.

Happy in the end, we were abject in the first half but goals change games.

Firpo was the worst in a long time too but improved but he has a pin point inaccurate pass which lazer like goes straight to the oppo.

Comfortable in the end and we can sit back and try and enjoy the weekend.

I agree. It's awfully fast. Could have a little 5 minute overlap. Allow a few replies to previous comments. Then join the action on the other channel.

Or just keep the match thread open, it’s worked well way before I found the site.

Really pleased with that in the end

We struggled the first 30. Looked like we had against Huddersfield. Key save from Mez made a big difference.

In fairness you're always going to have that in an away game. You have to take a couple of early punches. Then quieten down the opposition and the crowd.

After that we were completely in control. We were in control long before the goal. I think Rutter had 3 chances in that period.

Once we scored the Wendies didn't have an answer. They had to be a bit more open and expansive. That made space for us and made it easier for us to keep attacking them. The 2nd goal was always coming and after that it was never in doubt.

They came at it a bit later. But we were always in control.

Credit Bamford who showed why he doesn't get replaced. The goal was one thing - the way he held off the defender and made the flick for the 2nd was an even better moment than his goal.

It does get frustrating at times when we're playing against a tight defense. Gruev and Kamara don't do much to break them down. But once it opened up, they became much more of a threat.

There isn't much between James and Gnonto, I myself prefer DJ, but the difference was there for all to see tonight when Gnonto was put through for his goal. Now who would i want to be running at the keeper like that to bury one ? Gnonto, and not James.

But i still prefer DJ overall.

In fact Jimmy can't buy a goal atm, now where's that golden touch at the start of the season gone huh ?

It's just a temporary loss of form/luck, and fck knows where it's gone, wtf it is, and htf you get it back.
