Re: 6 Nations - May contain spoilers during match reports
After the game Vs France I wasn't too sure what to expect from Scotland I certainly wasn't confident of a victory more hopeful I'd say . It always amazes me that England who have more players to choose from than any other nation can't seem to find 25 guys able to play decent rugby, doesn't seem too matter who the coach is . Scotland weren't great but where good enough on the night. Two tough matches to come for England. They're going to need to step up another level if they hope to win them . For Scotland. Games against Italy are never great encounters but I think we'll beat them ,a game Vs Ireland in Dublin is a big ask for anyone at the moment but I don't think ireland are unbeatable

Can’t believe how bad France are. Italy miss a kick @ 13-13 for their first ever 6 nations win. Hit the post.
What happened to them since the WC.

France need to keep 15 men on the pitch for a start - that's 2 red cards in this seasons 6 Nations for France.
Would have been great if that Italian kick had gone over at the end of the game. No conviction in the kick though.

Ball fell off the tee. Then had to hurry as the clock was running down. The look on the French players faces

Well done Italy
Didn’t think they’d won any 6 nations games before but apparently they have lastly in 2015. News to me.

Going toe to toe with whom i consider the best team in the world, must say something about Borthwick being a good tactician ?

This is fun. Think England unlucky for getting the try taken away first half.

Should have gone for the BP try, as they had an unmissable pen already

I don't really know my Rugby Ron, in fact i don't know all the rules for penalties, but fck me i enjoyed that game.
What do you think of Borthwicks game plans, he seems to be able to play differently, and have things up his sleeve ?

Re: 6 Nations - May contain spoilers during match reports
They were playing advantage, with an unmissable pen under the sticks. Another try would have given them a bonus point (5 instead of 4). They took the drop kick instead.
This means Ireland have a 4 point gap over England in the table instead of 3, making it much harder for England to win the championship (Ireland could lose the last game v Scotland and probably still be champs.
It was a chance thrown away.
I suppose the pen could always have been missed though,

Oh no i didn't mean that particular instance, i understood all that. I mean in general, I've never played Rugby really, i don't konw all the positions, and far from enough to be able to comment on where it went right or wrong, i've just come to enjoy the game and know enough to be able to enjoy it, i've played footy all my life, and have always mainly followed that, i used to give Rugby a miss until about 30 years ago, i don't really have a club and rarely if any watch club games unless they're big games, but i do enjoy a test match with England, at school you chose one or the other and football was for me.Madron wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 7:07 pm They were playing advantage, with an unmissable pen under the sticks. I know all you've wrote above, but was wondering what you saw in Borthwicks tactics and style v Ireland coz you seem to know your stuff ?
