I felt with all the Red Bull signings he made that it wasn't just to appease Marsch but because of the reputation of RB he could piggyback on their successful scouting as it seemed almost a guarantee with their players that they will do well. It was like he knew he was sh*t so was trying to go for sure things. However in most cases we were simply carrying on our policy, that started with JKA, of getting RB cast offs. No wonder RB didn't snub us whilst the court case was going on - they simply realised they could milk us for more.
Exactly Weasel
The three stooges have fucked us up good and proper.
What an absolute sh*t show this has become, all this money wasted ! We should have been building on our success now it feels we are back to square one, promotion my ar*e.
Amazing to think Roca, Kristensen, Aaronson, Rodrigo, Llorente.
Nearly £90mil spent.
We've probably received less than £5mil in total to replace them with
One of the men responsible is still here running the club day to day.
The other now has a similar position at a Champions League club
Amazing business football
Staggeringly inept. Out of those 5 I think it is fair to say we'd want none of them back in a years time whether we got promoted or not. If we do get promoted then we are in the position of trying to sell them (Rodrigo excepted as he has gone on a atransfer), they are all a year older and have a year less on their contracts making our bargaining power lower. If we'd have been in a position to try to sell them this summer for the maximum we could get them I think even if we struck really bad deals we would still bring in a minimum of £40m and their wages would be gone too. Instead we have £3m (possibly some loan fees too but doesn't seem like any are substantial amounts) and the wages gone - although I wouldn't be surprised to find out we were still paying part of the wages as likely we gave them higher wages than their new clubs would pay.

Did you post them because there's something wrong with your brain
Even though Roca was average, we should be getting £7m to £10m for an ex-Bundersliga/Premier League player.
This crazy scenario could only happen at Leeds.
Anyone who bigs up Radz/Orta needs to give their head a good shake, the pair have left our club in a right mess, they were supposed to be taking us forwards, not backwards.

I think you're being kind saying he was average 64. Awful would have been more accurate.
The flowers of common sense do not grow in everyone's garden
“ Despite earlier reports stating the two clubs had agreed a loan deal with a purchase option, Marca now claim otherwise.
It’s stated Manuel Pellegrini’s side won’t have an option to buy Roca due to the ‘lack of understanding’ with Leeds.
Instead, Marca say Real Betis will have an option to extend Roca’s loan deal for one more season if Leeds fail to achieve promotion back to the Premier League.”
Wowee, if true we really are giving players away. It just gets more fantastical, you couldn’t make it up.

Not when you get on that bowling green and see the opposition
Bowlers in the main are very sporting, friendly folk, you get the odd one who is cantankerous, but unlike other sports, I haven't witnessed any tantrums on the bowls green.

I don't think I'd want any of the rats leaving a sinking ship back. They're not that great, they just have big ego's thinking that they are better than they actually are.

Marc Roca has confirmed something I think many expected but hadn't had confirmed
The eternal genius of Radz, Orta and Kinnear means if we aren't promoted he can go out on loan again next season.
One would assume if he can they all can.
So in theory if it all goes wrong they could all run the contracts down with loans and leave for sod all.
I must admit - I assumed and I was wrong that these loan clauses were based on relegation rather than a club status perpetuity. But I have known for a couple of months as a result of other reporting that they remain in effect whilst the club does not have prem status.
They have done their job in protecting the club from financial issues. The majority of the players were poor when playing for our club so it has been to our benefit. Not that anyone deserves much credit. Having players with an escape tunnel in a relegation battle does not inspire fight.
However there are some who will defend the indefensible and cannot even consider that despite general and learned consensus to the contrary they are never wrong.

I’m not surprised that Roca is the one announcing this. He is probably well aware that if there was a transfer fee around his neck no club would touch him with a barge pole. A cheap loan fee is all any self respecting club would pay for such a useless gobshite like him.
