What about playing Shacks as the right sided MF?The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 3:29 pm If not Gruev then I'm a little bit stumped. I don't think due to the nature of our set up we can use Gray or Kamara as the DMF whose job is to sit in front of the two CB and act as a third when the wing backs get forward.
If Gruev is out and Amps plays CB alongside Rodon then we're in trouble as it'll be a two man defence.

Not convinced he's completely fit. We do know Farke will have players carrying an injury on the bench for numbers and there's also the fact he's likely to be very rusty

I suspect the back 4 will be the usual CB pairing, Firpo and Byram in the FB positions Kamara and Gray in the middle and the front 4 as they were.
Farke doesn’t make changes unless his hand is forced.
I hope Joseph gets a longer run out.
Expect the same changes to occur up top barring injury - Anthony, Piroe and Joseph.

Our lines were too distant and we had too many 'leggy' (understandable) players v Watford, his subs were spot on to rescue a point, and even nearly nick it at the death.
Midfield, a bridge too far for Amps and he'll be back at CH v Hull.
Mes
Byram - Rodon - Amps - Firpo
Gray - Kamara
James - Rutter - Jimmy
Bamford
Will, be the team, unless any of the injured trio recover, he could be tempted to start Joseph, but i doubt it.

Won't be easy.
Hull are the 6th best away side in the league this season, and they've played 2 games less than everyone above them bar Southampton.
If they win those they could be the 3rd best away side in the league this season.
That being said they are vulnerable away, they give away 15-16 shots away on average, 6th most in the league.
So they can definitely be got at.
Do worry about us sitting back and letting them run at Gray and Firpo

The last time Leeds played Hull in a championship match at ER.
Great save from Casilla to thwart a Hull equaliser, Leeds breakaway with Alioski sealing the victory.

Hull boy is a good laugh, lives in Malton (I think), his mum drives him through the East Yorks countryside close to where I live on his way to the MKM stadium.

Hull's best defender Greaves is suspended for our game, they did look shaky without him in their defeat to Stoke.

Hull have had some decent results away, winning at Southampton & Leicester, so maybe they are hopeful the tigers could continue to do well against the top clubs away from the MKM stadium.

I hope Dan James is well rested since Watford because he looked like he was running in treacle on Friday.
