But it's a very short term solution.

Not promoted next season and we have another £120mil to find atleast.

Feels very house built on sand.
So,

We'll have £120m to find if not promoted.

Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe has refused to rule out player sales in the aftermath of their Championship play-off final defeat by Southampton at Wembley.

Daniel Farke's side were beaten 1-0 by Adam Armstrong's first-half goal on Sunday, having finished third in the regular season and amassed 90 points.

Now Leeds fans fear key players such as Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray could be sold, which Marathe said he could not discount.

"We have the funds we need to do what we need, but there will need to be some trade-offs because of [profit and sustainability rules]," Marathe told BBC Radio Leeds.

"It is not just outs, it is ins as well, looking at scouting possibilities, but we need to make trade-offs. I can't talk about specific players right now, it is too early.

"There are certain things we need to do and we will make sure we are fully compliant with P and S [profit and sustainability] as we always have been. We'll have to get back to the drawing board and see what deals we need to do."

Marathe also offered his backing to Farke despite the head coach failing to achieve promotion straight back to the Premier League.

"Daniel has been fantastic, I'm excited about working with him next season," Marathe added.

"We had a long-term plan, a long-term commitment; we have to see it through.

"He has the right temperament. I feel confident because we have a four- or five-week head start on last year at least."

Obviously, he'll want to progress to the starting 11. But I could see him being happy coming off the bench for a season. I reckon he'd be useful to most of the top teams.
Fair point and worth it if they get him cheap or includes one of their players, I know Fabio Carvalho has been mentioned by the media, he's out on loan at Hull.

If your going to aim digs at me atleast have the balls to quote me.

Not subtle stalker.

He is arrogant, 15 minute rant about how he knows all about strikers, wants to be humble then bangs on about how he knows about promotion . . Then fails anyway.

Nope nobody suggested promotion was demanded, but it was expected as Farke himself in his interview basically guaranteed it (as Phil Hay said).

He has a 4 year contract and paying him off isn't an option.

Anything else?

So we now know that only Jack Harrison plus one other player have loan clauses that can be activated for the coming season. Marc Roca has previously stated in interviews that he has such a clause if his club (Leeds) failed to return to the PL.

This now means we can either choose to sell, keep or agree further loans on our terms, hence our Chairman stating we have far more control this summer.

Good news and not as bad as everyone was lead to believe.

Llorente
Wober
Kristensen
Aaronson

All now our players until we choose otherwise.

For me we sell Llorente and Wober and keep the other two.

Wober we'll get our money back and therefore make a slight profit for FFP and Llorente would be all FFP profit should we be able to command a fee for him.

Some decent news.

Not sure anyone would welcome back any of them would they?

Sell Harrison, sell Llorente, sell Wober, try and sell Aaronson (doubt we can).

Then people like Summerville and Gnonto?

I think selling Gray would go down like a wet fart

But given Kinnear is here and he pushed the Phillips sale it wouldn't be a shock.

Personally I'd throw money at Callum O'Hare, free agent and probably has Premier League interest but I'd try.

Chris Willock is also out of contract and has proven a very solid Championship winger as well.

So that's 2 cost effective players to target maybe?

Kristensen would be a quallity full back (or centre back) in the Championship. Just see how well Firpo has done as an example and we'd have the making of an excellent back four before we've even started any recruitment.

Aaronson is more tricky due to the high fee we paid for him so keeping him might be the best option and I'm not having this he's too lightweight etc. Most of the time he went down it was because he was trying to get free kicks and he'll quickly realise that's not how it works in the Championship. It's also entirely possible he's the 10 goal a season midfielder we're crying out for.

It's ok as Jammy Jnr thinks I'm crazy so I'd expect most others to think the same.

Some of our fans aren't grasping this important preparation period we lacked last season.

There's been endless speculation and from multiple sources about what would happen regarding our players with loan clauses in their contract should we remain in the Championship.

Now our Chairman has provided some clarity and it appears the situation is different to last summer.

Good news don't you think ?

I wouldn't have a problem with Rasmus resurrecting his career in the Championship, it's his level. That probably goes for the rest as well.

Clown A created this shambles, so i for one don't blame the players.

Looking at it from a business perspective for the club and balancing any books, i'd fck off on loan again any high earners or any we can nearly get our money back for, other than that :

In the Championship - Aaronson 'SHOULD' be able to do just as good if not better than Gnonto, Pascal will be back and Wober could cover Cooper's departure, if Rodon departs, Llorente 'SHOULD' be good enough in the Championship.

The same for Jack, Roca and any fecker else, what i do know is, i'm more than happy to see it in the hands of DF to sort out the juggling act he received from Coco the industrious buffoon, serial ruin-er of football clubs.

They are just abart good enough for the Championship, and it's their feckin fault for signing contracts for 50% wages if they haven't done good enough elsewhere for folk to consider buying them.

Have any ripped up trees, are any in absolute demand all over the world, with clubs fighting tooth and nail for em.
Leave it to PM, DF and the scouting team to muddle thru and see where we're at, like PM says, DF's in a damn sight better position atm, than coming in like last season, with a couple of weeks to spare to get clued up on the state of affairs.
