Apologies I got this badly wrong. The collapse was cos Farke appeared confident in his interview with the board a few months before.

Seriously though I agree with you about the Coventry playmaker, looked very talented whenever I saw him play.

So as for tearing it up in a s**t league, and learning today that Rasmus probably doesn't have another loan release, are you bringing him back for a season?

3 goalies and one open spot on the bench. Sinisterra and Gnonto on strike. Perkins in purgatory. May have been the time Drameh and Hjelde were playing left back.

And that was a few games into the season. What a mess he had to sort out.
2nd game IIRC

Rasmus will get a good manager one day who'll realize he's a centre back.... probably not us though.

I wouldn't I don't think he is even half as good as Ayling. I don't rate him as a centreback either, the only reason he looked better there was because his lack of pace wasn't as evident and his hoofings could be charitably described as clearances rather than attrocious attempted passes. Hugely disappointed in him given that his stats made him look likehe was going to be a great attacking full back. Shows how sh*t that league he was playing in was which is why I get the same vibes in regard to the chap Cjay mentioned having great stats in the German 2nd division.

Oh didn't you know Andrew ! ???

All that you say doesn't matter, DF still should've won those games, it's ALL his fault !

Aye, there was no mess to start with

I've absolutely no idea how he'll perform for DF or whether he'll like him, he SHOULD be ok for the Championship, but i've no idea abart the wages, clauses, whether he'll fit in etc etc

What i do know is, i'm happy for DF to do as he sees fit and trust him to find the best possible solution all round.

All that matters is that we get promoted next season.

So as you say let's leave it to Farke to make the decisions and if he wants any of Rasmus, Llorente, Aaronson or Wober in the squad then we should all just accept it and get behind the team.

Some fans won't of course as they're too precious when really it's all much ado about nothing.

Not debating Farke anymore.

O'Hare is ideal but likely has Premier League interest.

Same as Ronnie Edwards who I also mentioned

But can hope.

I think most of us had the stance that we didn't want them back. But that was based on us getting promotion.

Like you said, let's just focus on going up. I'll back whatever the manager decides. We all hated Gnonto at the start of the season. But got behind him once he got back in the team and started performing.

Farke's going nowhere on the other hand don't rule out cashing Archie in, that's what I got from the Chairman's interview.

Leeds make Ao Tanaka enquiry.

Everyone needs a Japanese player in their squad... box to box midfielder. from the German league.

What does Farke know?

Cjay wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2024 11:18 am Personally I'd throw money at Callum O'Hare, free agent and probably has Premier League interest but I'd try.

Chris Willock is also out of contract and has proven a very solid Championship winger as well.

So that's 2 cost effective players to target maybe?
Really like these two. This would allow us to have quality depth on the wings and at AM. Rutter could shift out to the wing where I think his future lies (yet can play the 10 in a pinch). Tanaka is another rumored addition. I like him as a bench/rotation option with O’Hare in order to keep Rutter out on the wing.

One area for some optimism is the growth of our younger players following the experience of this season. I’m thinking Archie and Rutter (if we can hold on to them depending on how dire our finances are), as well as Gruev and Joseph (excluding Jimmy, Willy, Charlie, and Darko as I suspect they all might be gone).

It highly depends on keeping the spine together. Securing Rodon will be a significant key. As it stands of the 5 who formed the defence in the second half of the season the only certainty is probably Amps.
Archie is also unlikely to leave for me - his sale will only occur if he wants to leave, which I very highly doubt or the club need the funds. He may also want some level of assurance that he is played in his preferred role.
Firpo enters the last year of his contract. I will be surprised if we retain him. Depends on offers - Barca apparently have a 20% sell on fee. Unlikely he will generate a huge amount given the circumstances but he is one of the current highest earners, if nothing else he will reduce the wage bill.
Struijk will hopefully be fit at some point during the summer.
Will Cooper get an additional year ? Unlikely as Farke did not use him much. This is where Wober or even the Dane would be useful. But as we know more likely to cash in if an acceptable offer is received.

Mes - is a tricky one, plenty of potential variables. My instinct is they will want to retain him if possible. Looking for two keepers is a daunting prospect if they do not fancy KK is ready.

It is possible we could see potentially 6 changes to the first 11. How quickly the new recruits are acquired will be hugely important. Getting business done early is huge. Which is dependant on finances.

I do not underestimate the task at hand, buyers will be aware of our situation so we are not necessarily in a position of strength when it comes to negotiating sale fees.

Lots of changes imminent, I suspect.

I'm confident the wheels will be in motion now, which would be early for Leeds going from our previous transfer activity in years gone by.

Marathe mentioned other clubs had a month start on us last season, I would say one year as our club was in turmoil.

Hopefully shall have a clear six weeks to prepare his squad, with a good pre-season in readiness for our 2024/25 campaign.
