When I first saw this story I assumed he was some reality to type that I was supposed to know, turns out he's just some wee ned who's probably got drunk and wandered off , I've no real idea why this story has taken off the way it has , people go missing all the time and never get any coverage in the press

Well I hope there is nothing untoward about this story and the young man is found safe. But I just get Shannon Matthews vibes with the whole thing.

Why did his friend not show her face when being interviewed by the BBC?
Why is there a gofundme page set up when he is only missing atm?
If he collapsed in the heat, then surely his body would've been found in the area?
Why didn't his friend get a cab to his last location if he was missing and they were worried?

And why did he leave a festival in the south of the island with two men he had only just met and travel to a remote village in the north?
Following this he was seen waiting for a bus but because it wasn't due for another 2 hours he decided to walk for 10 hours back to the south without any water and hardly any phone signal?
It's all very strange.
The news this evening is saying the search is being focused around some remote outbuildings.
