Chinese swimming doping scandal
Crowd trouble at Morocco-Argentina
Paedophile selected for the Netherlands beach volleyball
Charlotte Dujardin kicked out in disgrace

The only sports I'll probably watch are swimming, athletics, gymnastics, canoe slalom, skateboarding and rowing, maybe a bit of Archery and Break Dancing. Stuff like football, tennis and golf doesn't interest me at all during the Olympics, but I'll watch it the rest of the year.
Swimming & most of the track and field events will be the highlights for me. Coached swimming for 15 years and still love watching it although all the doping scandals ruin it a bit. I reckon they should have a Drug Using Nobs Games, ( D.U.N.G. ) for short, where competitors can take whatever the hell they like, I’d def watch that. Whole new slant to the High Jump.

There was a plan to bring in a doped up Olympics https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/68672104

Would be funny to see the 'clean' athletes smash the times of the doped ones :-D

And wet 💦☂️. Missed the start but impressed so far, very clever using the Seine and highlighting the sights of Paris rather than a stadium.

Ooh - I'd forgotten about old Ben. Good point.
Think he still lives somewhere in Toronto - still coaching - I think he even coaches a few NHL players.

Eddie Izzard did a skit on that - called the "stoned Olympics" - included the marathon, where the athletes stagger out of the stadium - never to be seen again :)

London was excellent Paul. In fact it was darned good. Also The Brit team walking into the arena to Bowies 'Heroes', I'll never forget it. And that Olympic torch......wow......was the best I've ever seen. Made in Yorkshire as well !!!! No other like it.

But yes, Paris apart from Celine Dion....really awful I'm sorry to say.
