People also forget Pablo was at his best for us in the Championship, he struggled a bit in the prem, maybe due to age and out of position but he did get benched IIRC

He was running the game for us v Leicester, then got subbed off for Tyler Roberts as we were close to an equaliser. He was unhappy and Bielsa never got over it by benching him ever since. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 5:11 pm People also forget Pablo was at his best for us in the Championship, he struggled a bit in the prem, maybe due to age and out of position but he did get benched IIRC

Sorry to see Georgie go, but wish him well. Like I said for Archie & Summerville, I hope they manage him well.

Jeez !! Thank fck fer that, a newcomer that knows what he's on abartElKapitan wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 4:45 pm Again, agreed.
Summervilles success came running from deep on the break or cutting inside and using his wand of a right foot. Teams stepped off us and let us have the ball and commit... Struggled to create in that situation, tried to do it all himself.
Rutter ran from deep turned a player and away..... Again teams stepped off us he struggled to be effective.
Farke for me has always played this way..... The difference is not having quality fullbacks who know when to attack and when there is danger. Firpo for instance can contribute going forwards but defensively is weak at best with no regard for defensive positioning for me.
Hard to judge farke as I think he's inherited a higgledy piggldy squad with superstar quality in some positions and bang average at best "big names" in others.
That abart 7 members we're up to nah that know their onions, we're getting there

To all the posters who like to lament we didnt replace Pablo.
We tried, Its not as if it was an oversight on our part, but playermakersof that amount of vision and ability come along once in a blue moon.
Rutter will play at a higher level than him and will end up at one of the super rich clubs.
The PL pundits will be waxing lyrical about him next season.
It is such a shame he is gone. Most exciting player Leeds have signed since Raph.
Future France senior International of that I have no doubt.

I'm more upset about losing Georginio than Raphinha.

Re: Georginio Rutter - Release Clause Activated
If we had good money to buy good players, we wouldn't have had to have sold Gray/Summerville/Rutter! I think we are in a bigger mess than Maraathe (however you spell it) lets on. Phkd off with this bs now. We've been messed about too long...Johnsie123 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 3:08 pm When Rutter goes I believe it will be the end of us going up this year UNLESS the 49ers invest a fair amount of money they have got back on Archie, crys, and Georgi .we need goalkeeper, midfield, and a striker that is going to score 20 goals cos last night was a shambles same old team from last year DF needs to get his arse in gear and earn his wages along with ALL the players can't blame Rutter going anybody would go all the best to him on his move .

I know I am a bit naive about stuff, but couldn’t this have been foreseen and contracts perhaps reviewed? Yes it might have meant bigger wages in the short term, but otherwise it appears thatLUFC we’re happy to lose Archie/Jimmy/Georgie to these clauses.

I don't think Farkes a worldie of a manager by no means but a solid bet at championship level with the right squad.
Just needs the right squad in place to carry out the game plan which due to Orta's contracts we don't seem to be able to offer him at present.

Looks like you're destined to be Kenny's new biatch (someone has to be)?ElKapitan wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 9:36 pmcheers, just really easy to blame the manager when I think there's a lot wrong with the squad that's not easy to fix. Revolving doors type stuff this year with the stars leaving and expensive dross returning etc.
