But I don't believe that they are being fully transparent with Daniel, and apart from not having a pot to piss in, so they can't afford to sack him, they wish to keep him as their ace sacrificial lamb up their sleeves for when it gets very hot in the kitchen and they can use a long losing run to 100% pin the blame on DF.

They're just biding their time, the snake bastards.

Remember when Jesse was all positive on the tour down under pre-season, and he confirmed he'd been promised a new left back and a striker, and was all smiles, etc. Fast forward to a couple of days later when he was back at Leeds and had just been dragged to the boardroom by Radz and the craic was a 180

"Paddy is almost fit and Junior should be back in a few weeks"

No mention of new transfers and then Kinnear spouting his shite in the programme notes about us having the best forward line in Europe, fkn bell end
I've been very vocal about my distrust of them for ages mate.

VC funds in football are a bad mix,American owners in football is another one.

And these lots are just as snakey and underhand as you'd expect corporate suits to be.

Lied all summer long.

And they will throw DF under the bus when it's needed.

But he could have avoided all this by doing what they clearly expected (and what PH said he basically sold himself as doing), won promotion.

But he made himself look rather foolish by falling apart at exactly the point in the season he said he was Mr expert.

He's a yes man as he was at Norwich.

Most managers are the same.

But as I said above, he protects the owners and they don't ask him why he's only won 2 wins of 11.

Self preservation.
 yeah, mutual self-preservation :)

The alternative is opening your pipe like Scott Parker, or Chris Wilder, who were gone in the next taxi.

Good idea tbf

Indeed few managers get away with it, but do admire managers who do it .

Conte being the best I can remember, absolutely went in on everyone

I wouldn't be surprised if Marathe is pulling the wool over our eyes, with Farke taking the flak for their mismanagement.

The next two weeks will be telling.

Kagey does a great impression of him and keeps saying he talks too much"

When DF said "Ï thrive on pressure, and this is where I perform the best" that's when he was setting himself up for a fall.

As I've said elsewhere, for Russel Martin to confidently espouse, when asked if he would change anything, before the match at ER and at Wembley "No need, we'll continue with the things that have brought us success against Leeds United" :)

100% confident and fully justified 8-)

Im fully respectful of Farke and think he has been dealt a bum hand two Summers in a row now, i hope he is not the one who carries the can.
I cant understand why we seem to be limiting our player searches in such a narrow area. It seems either Championship players, or PL loans. I think we need at least one player with flair, Geo was abreath of fresh air as was Rafa before him. This is i think why we are all feeling so depressed about this. Surely we should be scouring the South American leagues to see if there is anyone suitable, as well as Europe.

They are making an absolute mess of this summer but under the circumstances last summer they backed Farke about as well as Championship team can.

Expensive Premier league loans like Rodon and Spence and Roberts and Anthony.

Turned down big money for Rutter and Summerville and Gnonto.

Spent big money at this level on Kamara and Gruev and Piroe.

That was the 1 shot you get as Mr moneybags.

Now Championship reality sets in.

It was fantastic

Remember when Radz was pitching his Conte dream (absolute nonsense).

But imagine if it happened.

Bielsa and Orta apparently used to have shouting matches, big arguments.

Conte would have killed him

Well done DF, i see your plan, even if no fcker else does.

You'll need 2 more years at least pal.

Unless the Dramaking gets his way again, and we start the 'hire and fire go round' !

David Moyes is currently unemployed chaps  We can all then pretend that's like going full circle - A Gary Monk type :roflmao:
Thankfully a voice of sanity in what is a very sad day and it is all down to the stupidity of whoever put the clauses in. It is just staggering that we have seen release fees with Sinisterra, Adams and Rutter that are just tiny amounts more than we paid for them. No doubt the likes of Rasmus, Wober etc had them too but no one was going to pay anything near what we paid for them. Putting those sale prices in is staggering inept, if a player is s**t we are lumbered and if they are good, or great, we only make a couple of quid. Great business strategy.

DF is under pressure, no doubt, and losing his two most creative players has done him no favours. If (no sniggering) he takes us up, even you'll will have to give him some credit!? ;-)

Marathe said we are not sitting back in May - this is not the case now

I like to be honest and name it like it is. Why I protected our players yesterday with their performance. I did not want to speak about it. Players are not stupid. They have seen the best player, best young player and important player leave. Club captain, our next superstar.

This is interesting ... so, and in order, Georginio, Gray, Summerville, Cooper and ????

Unless he mentioned Gray twice as our best young player and next superstar

Either that or he saw Kris Klaesson as the superstar (joking)

Although I'm completely unhappy with it all I can see some justifications. Those slightly better than paid fees were probably because they were relegation clauses. I.E. you can have a relegation release clause but it needs to at least cover the fee we paid.

Doubt it since Farke didn't rate Cresswell. The only reason Cresswell is gone is because Farke didn't rate him. Cresswell would have been playing for almost every other manager in the championship

Problem is we don't know who's got clauses still

They told us weeks ago that we didn't need to worry about clauses any more. Summerville and Rutter both left on clauses. So there could be plenty others. Problem with Gnonto is he's not going to be happy. We forced him to stay this time last year. Now he's lost his best mate and probably 2nd best mate, and our best 2 players. Can't imagine Willy being happier than he was this time last year.
