I thought Amps was our best player.

Also, would be unfair to be critical of how our new signings performed when the heart of our team has been ripped apart.

Ampadu & Rodon assumingly were injured, Firpo did well, same with Aaronson, all four have endured the dreaded international games.

We looked a mess in the second-half, it got worse as the game drew closer to the final whistle, we wouldn't have scored if we has played all night.

The young man should have done much better, it was an awful effort under no pressure. Allan Clarke & Jimmy Greaves would have rounded the keeper with ease.

But why didn't he go the other way. It was tight to the goalie's left. The goal was huge on the goalie's right.
Indeed, it was,

Too much time on Mateo's mind.

His body position not right to put it left

I wouldn’t be too hard on the kid Joseph as he does plenty of things right but that is a bad miss.
The keeper commits and makes it easier but he’s already made up his mind.

It looks easy but it’s missed more often than it’s scored. Much harder chance than the one he put away v Hull plus he’s losing balance. Don’t blame him for the miss

you're so biased sometimes it's unbelievable

it's a one on one with zero pressure, a good striker should score those every single time

you realise when you're running in a straight line, with zero pressure, you can control your own balance right?

who do you blame for the miss? the grass? the ball?

He’ll put you on ignore if you call out his level of Bias. Now if that had been Bamford or Piroe they would have got plenty of criticism.

Personally, I think Joseph was looking to round the keeper to the keepers right. But Trafford timed his run out perfectly and narrowed the space , his shot was rather panicked in the end and he was off balance because for me that was not his intended finish. He will learn from that.

Good young quality keeper Trafford, ironically he had a lot of stick off their fans last season.

There you go again, I’ll take the insult though.

Its not really about defending Joseph. He knows he should score and he’ll be reliving that over & over for the next few days. Give that to Haaland, Kane, Watkins and they will score virtually 100% of the time.
His body position when he strikes the ball is definitely not helping but he’s not really to blame for the loss.

17 shots, only four on target.

Missing decent chances effects the result. Put our chances away & we win the match.

Instinctive yes, but I don't think his goal was an easy opportunity.

Yes, Mateo fudged his mindset as he had too much time.

It's just made to sound so simple to negate

It isn't.

If it wasn't so effective it wouldn't be employed so often.

Football is probably the only sport where being dull and not to scote is rewarded.

As a forward I’d be more confident scoring the Hull one than the one today, They’re missed more time than you’d imagine

We need better dead ball delivery than we get from our corner and FK takers… I’d try Firpo myself or Solomon. Not saying they’d be better but Gruev et al ain’t working enough

Another gripe :(

Why stop a match during the game?

We'd already had a minute's applause for Sol Bamba, prior to kick-off.

Football has gone crazy!!!!

Whatever next?

The minutes applause, when the game was stopped, was for the young boy who had passed away.

I thought it was a wonderful thing to do for the family, a highly emotional moment and I wasn’t the only one near me with tears in his eyes.
