Goals from corners....

Ooh! Another quibble of mine.

Leeds United have taken 147 corners in the Championship since they last scored via a corner in February against Swansea. 52 shots or headers from corners in that time, no goals.

What is the problem, is it?
Poor crossing.
No anticipation of the ball in tight areas.
Our players don't know how to attack a ball in the air.
Mistimed jumps.
Poor finishing.
Any other reason?

Strangely enough, we seem much more efficient at defending corners these days.

Anyway, I'll be updating & keeping an eye on this thread, hope we grab one before we hit the 200 mark.

Watched a video on YouTube few years back, I’ll see if I can find the link, but I think on average only 1-2 in a 100 corners result in a goal

Indeed, our poor goal count to corners ratio goes back to Bielsa days.

Possession football on the ground maybe the answer why we don't score from so many corners.

You have to cheat to score from corners these days as it's all about blocking the markers plus stopping the keeper coming to collect or punch.

Everton and Arsenal are good at it and that's with VAR as well.

So basically we're not cute enough at fouling to create the goal scoring opportunity for a team mate.

Oh and they've all got 50p heads as well
