Goodman urges Sunderland not to sell top talent to Whites

Don Goodman has urged Sunderland to keep hold of star full-back Dennis Cirkin, adding 'especially (don't sell him) to Leeds!' The former footballer turned broadcaster seems to have a chip on his shoulder (5 kilo's worth) where the Mighty Whites are concerned. His openly bias commentary, favouring any club Leeds come into contact with has made the 58yo a constant cause for ridicule among football supporters.

Daniel Farke is looking for a long term successor for Junior Firpo, who is expected to return to Spain in the Summer, upon conclusion of his five year deal. The Leeds Manager has also registered an interest in Gent youngster Archie Brown, but face competition from the likes of London Quartet, Spurs, West Ham, Fulham and Brentford!

I would love to think that there is no way in the slightest Sunderland would allow Dennis Cirkin to leave in their current situation, especially to Leeds. He’s one of the best left-backs in the Championship and scored a great goal against Coventry at the weekend. He would be a brilliant addition for Leeds but I’m not sure I can see it happening. After selling Jack Clarke in the summer, it would cause uproar amongst Sunderland fans if they sold another one of their young stars. I can see why Leeds would be interested but, if I was Sunderland, I’d be having none of it.

There's been no drop in attendance, and there's still 15,000 Loiners on the waiting list but come match day, the temperature from inside Elland Road has dropped significantly from last season - and we're not talking about the weather! Leeds announce new retail partnership

Goodman was, and always will be, a prick, but he does have a point, why would Sunderland sell one of their top players to a rival? Unless they have money worries, it would make no sense, particularly given how strongly they have started the season.

To the esteemed leadership of the 49ers and all the fantastic Leeds fans: I know crowds, folks. No one knows crowds like I do. We had tremendous crowds at my rallies – some people say the biggest crowds ever... not many people know that.

Elland Road has potential, big league potential, we’re going to have speakers – the best speakers – blasting motivational hits, like MOT and YMKA (Yorkshire Men Kick Ass) maybe a bit of Sinatra, maybe a dash of Queen... we are the champions of the world Right? We’ll do pyrotechnics bigger and better than anyone’s ever seen, believe me... crank up the atmosphere OK?

And let’s talk chants. I will personally work on those chants... chants so loud they’ll hear us down in Westminster. People will say, “Wow, Leeds fans are the best fans – louder than the rest, louder than the best.”

Now, the fans. I love Leeds fans, they’re tough, they’re resilient – they remind me of my voters. But we’re going to turn them into something incredible.

I’ve got ideas, folks, big ideas. We’ll create VIP areas where fans can get the best meat pies (no tofu, no vegan nonsense... we won't let soyboys into the ground... they have no energy... they drain the atmosphere... get rid of them I say... eject them just like I did with the woke brigade at my rallies).

They’ll have hot dogs like you’ve never tasted... the best believe me, nothing like red meat to get the aggression going. And the halftime show? Picture this: fireworks, some very classy skimpy dressed dancers, and maybe, just maybe, a rodeo... people love rodeos, It’ll be huge.

People will be lining up to see Elland Road like never before. And we’ll have Leeds winning, not just on the field but in the stands, bringing beautiful energy to every game. It’ll be absolutely unforgettable... believe me OK?

Morning all.
Goodman is a prick who hates Leeds with a passion.
As I said yesterday, they would'nt sell Kai thingymebob to us, they won't with this either, move along, we probably aren't interested in him anyway.

Atmosphere, well yeah, best in the league but, if we score an early goal, it does dissipate some, nothing as bad as most other grounds though which are dreadful, our away fans are always singing away, same as away fans at ER, happens in every division.
Think there was a poll a few years back when we were in PL, LU and Palace came out top for noisiest fans and they have a band to stir things up.

Talking of motivational speakers, surely Jessie would come back for unfinished business !!

I know there are no games to talk about and its a slow week but, wake up to reality people, its football these types of things happen to all clubs. Dont panic people, there is nothing seriously wrong with our club

Consistently winning home games against substandard opposition was always going to be a consequence of relegation from the top flight. Some thought it would somehow be better and more entertaining as everyone loves winning football right.

Well actually no and that's because it's crap being the better team and dominating possession every week, maybe last season was a bit of a novelty but now it's just Groundhog Day every home with only the colour of the visitors strip changing.

Hopefully we get out of this division and never come back during my life time as the overall standard is pretty woeful to be honest.
