His comment about Amps being close to being considered for a few playing minutes got me thinking about how he comes back.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 12:50 am Yes. Farke explained it well.
Strujik played left back quite a bit under Jesse Marsch. But it's not ideal. Like Wober, a bigger guy, natural center back and a compromise at left back.
We have missed him. He is a great defensive presence.
I realize this won't happen as DF seems pretty set on his formation, but I wondered if our lack of efficiency finishing could be helped by playing 4-3-3?
In other words - do we have the right players right now to have a lone striker upfront?
So 433 would be
Bogle, Rodon, Struijk, Firpo/Byrum/Schmidt
Rothwell, Amps, Tanaka
Ramazani/Gnonto, Joseph/Piroe, James
Aaronson on the bench.
Just noodling ideas
It does show though that, when fully fit, the squad is quite impressive.
Also 4-3-3 can be tough in this league.
