I'm frustrated he's not playing tbf but odds are its related to hernia rehab..... Looked good in his cameo so don't think its that farke doesn't rate him. Think he'll be a better player than Firpo by miles watching his Europe escapades.... Especially defensively. Built like a bull.

He's had a hernia issue/operation..... Same type of injury that Rutter took a long while to get fit from. Its one of those injuries that will just ping back to stage one if not properly recovered from. Add to that getting him back to fitness after rehab..... Match sharpness etc why risk him when Byram is top notch at this level.

Agreed I don't think it's the hernia injury, he'll be fine now and he wouldn't be on the bench if there were complications.

He had just joined the club.... No player joins and then instantly starts. Ramazani didn't etc. Add to that Firpo/Byram being very decent at this level wouldn't have expected him to. For me he was bought as a long term replacement/competition for Byram/Firpo with their injury issues.

Hernia injury is complicated and isn't just straightforward and depends largely on what type of hernia injury it is. We don't know so can't say either way but highly doubt Farke would have wanted him if he had no intention of playing him once up to speed. Looked good in his cameo I thought?

Maybe there's work to be done defensively on the training ground. And hopefully it leads to Schmidt being of use to us at full back. But clearly Farke doesn't like the idea yet, not even for a couple of minutes at the end of a game.

I'd have to agree and 5 Mill is a wedge to pay in this division. At the very least he should be first up if a wing back isn't fit or gets injured. But he seems to be behind

Some fans near me were very critical of him first half bit Isaac shut them up and then for some mysterious reason they moved onto moaning about Darlow.

Poor Karl didn't impress them at all even though he made a couple of very important interventions.

I thought Bob Marley was fine in his first start for Leeds, seems to have stirred it up with some of our fans then.

At least Darlow wasn't flapping at crosses & did enough to earn his place vs Millwall or Dagenham.

Not that I am any sort of expert on these things but it is clear to me that the way Farke wants his teams to play, in relation to full backs is that they can bomb forward and bugger their defensive duties. Indeed, it matters not that the LB and the RB can't defend for toffee! Just look at Firpo and Bogle. Wober since he's been drafted in the last couple of games hilariously has played as attacking WB. We haven't really seen enough of Schmidt but perhaps he falls down on his passing although that aspect seems OK to me.

It is hard to understand some of the seemingly whimsical decisions that managers make

Seems to me it is a 50/50 whether he stays or goes. If he gets a decent offer he might well be on his bike - especially if he thinks he's not convinced Daniel Farke enough

Farke obviously, placed his trust in the reliable Byram.

Byram is a solid mid championship full back, very limited ceiling.

The same will apply to quite a few of our squad.

Our current team is nowhere near good enough to hold their own in the Premier League, the fringe players will certainly be moved on.
