Interestingly, I didn’t notice that much from him.
Perhaps because we were attacking the South Stand, and he’s too far away for my ageing eyes.
I thought he was good too. From the up close comfort of my settee. Lively for sure.
It's hard to judge against such a poor opposition. But on the positive side, we know he's a talented player. The fact that he had plenty of energy is a good sign.

As I say Andrew, it’s a long way (for me) from the North to South stand end but I don’t really recall that much to get me excited from the weekend.
He’s one of my favourite players at the club at the moment, certainly one of the most exciting, hoping there is plenty to come from him

I said on a different post. If we can keep any 3 of our 4 wingers fully fit at the same time, we'll be in a great spot for the rest of the season

Completely agree, embarrassment of riches.

Apart from Manor's goals, I didn't think he was that good tbh.
How many times did he get past his marker?
How many crosses hit the first man?
How many times did he lose possession?
I'll come up with some numbers when I rewatch the match tomorrow.
Neither did I, looked better when he was central. Have to score him high as he was there for those two chances and finished them but wasted a lot of possession when wide. As did Aaronson who was ineffective and Rothwell who was anonymous

Thought the same. I was going to rate him lower. But gave him points for the goal. DJ contributed a whole lot more. I still think we've got a player though. Expect him to keep improving. And what a luxury Farke has with all 4 wingers back.
It is what it is. Gnonto has been playing well and missing chances, Solomon quieter performance but got into the right place and finished. Like mentioned an embarrassment of riches and we are looking to have the 4 of them. Maybe when they are all fit Solomon slips into the 10 position a bit more or we have chaotic on pitch rotation with the 2 wingers and no.10 switching positions at will.

Hope to have all 4 healthy a lot more often. Will be interesting to see what Farke does. Last season he had 4 wingers, but hardly used Anthony. Our 4th best winger this season is better than Jaidon Anthony. But even last season he had a hard time rotating 3 wingers. James had a long run, Gnonto couldn't get a start. James got injured then Gnonto started every game and James couldn't get a start. Have to think he'd be more inclined to rotate the wingers this season.

I do also think the sitution with Anthony had as much to do with the sad passing of his mother as it did with Summerville's form and (mainly) injury free season. Anthony seems to be doing well at Burnley (on loan) and I do think he'd have done decently here if he'd had a run of games - Gnonto couldn't find his groove last season until James got injured and he got a good run of games.

Very bright today.
Strong on the ball under challenge, close control and some decent chance creation.
Hopefully over his injury issues.
Thought he was better today than he was v Swansea. The goals skew the analysis. But today he was a lot more involved. (maybe something to do with Dan James not being on the pitch)
In consecutive games, the little man gets in or around the six yard box & finishes like an accomplished striker.
Surely this is what we should expect from Piroe & Joseph.......Manor shows the difference in class between a Premier League footballer compared to a Championship player,
Hopefully we are in a position to sign the little fella in the summer!

Five goals & four assists from the Soloman now.

I think in some ways it is easier for the wingers to get into those positions to score as they will be running in unmarked, whereas the striker is usually having to try to get away from his man. I think that is the reason why players such as Salah play wide even though they are strikers. They don't want to be heavily marked but able to get that extra bit of freedom. The key to how we, or Liverpool play, is that it is a front 3 who should all contribute a decent amount of goals rather than the central striker getting all the goals and the 2 widemen just getting assists - same with Bielsa way of playing in that you hopefully end up with those 3 players all getting well into double figures for goals.

You'll realise next season in the PL, when we have a proper striker getting into good positions & scoring goals. Far too many excuses are made in the defence of Piroe & Joseph on here.
Decent No.9s should have the ability to make the right moves & score goals with their head & feet.
Joseph is still learning whilst Piroe is on course for a decent goals return. It is like in the summer when loads of England fans were moaning about Kane rather than seeing that the actual problem was us not creating any chances for him. Kane, given service, has scored bucketloads of goals wherevere he has been and similarly Piroe will score at a decent rate given the opportunities. Whilst yes we likely could do with another striker if we are in the Prem next year I would still expect Piroe to get into double figures. Joseph I'm not sure on but he has the potential to be a decent striker.
