Farke has taken the hand brake off. With the late injury to Amps he did the right thing starting Gruev and not Rothwell and to be fair Gruev kept it at 0-0 very early on. I expected the early SU onslaught, thought we'd probably ride it and nearly did except for some ill fortune (their only hope was to go for it from the start)

Ben Berenton Diaz had our defence in fits and a great relief when he came off. An error for me. but Farke is letting us play now, taking more risks. Last 5/6 games is more like I would have expected from much earlier in the season.

Still not a fan of Aaronson as the 10, he's kinda shoe horned in there, would prefer Piroe in that spot. But semantics as almost any 11 wins this division at a canter

I think you and I were alone. Plus the the two neutral commentators thought Meslier was unlucky.

Meslier was falling to his right as the ball came across and couldn't do much with his right arm the way he was falling.

And honestly Campbell should have scored, not hit the post. Really don't think Meslier could have done much.

I'm more and more convinced after today's game that Meslier's flapping and vulnerability on corners is down to the low physical strength of our other players. As a team we don't match up well and really do a bad job of handling corners. We've been knocking Meslier all season. But I think a lot of it comes down to the weak physicality of the team as a whole. Counter to that is that we're such a better footballing side than everyone else.

Not with the ref. He bottled out of making most decisions. Think he would have been happy to play the 90 and never blow up for a single free kci

I said that too all along. If you have an 80% chance of promotion going into the January window, don't spend unless you get a real 'talented bargain' (like Tanaka has proved to be). Buy when you've gone up in the summer and get players of the quality who will only play PL football.

We do need to secure Solomon and Rothwell - and even Firpo imo.

Plus Sheff U spent all that money on a ton of new talent this season. And we still beat them twice. We already have the right players.

loan him out, let's see what he can do! we have history for overhyping young players - gelhardt recently for example

Thought the movement was intelligent, good runs off the ball. Really tough when your only football is 5-10 every couple of games. Especially for a striker.

Hopefully we go up and he can be loaned out for a season to get a full season of match experience. Think there is a good player in there but he has to prove it.

We have scored 11 league goals this season from the 89th minute onwards. More than anyone in all 4 divs.

I would echo this. A great save initially and I can't believe their striker hits the post. Meslier has to try to save the ball but with his momentum his body is taking him the wrong way so the only way he could have kept it out was a one handed catch. If he doesn't attempt the second save then a Sheff U player was waiting to tap it in anyway.

More concerning were his early flaps but a much better second half.
