Interesting point from Warnock. The ref has had a few PL games so he’s used to VAR saving his arse. Universal agreement that its a terrible decision.

The more i see the replay on James’ penalty shout the more angry I become. Ref in a perfect position but without the comfort blanket of VAR he’s lacking the marbles to give it.

All fair.JoeDenver wrote: ↑Sun Mar 09, 2025 12:54 pm Agree, but think bringing on Rothwell will kick Tanaka into a higher gear. Similarly, Joseph on will further ignite Piroe (who’s having a decent game, by the way). BA had that clever pass and some other earlier involvement, but has been a bit quiet otherwise.
Aaronson seems to be the lightning rod here, but he wasn't the one turning the ball over or conceding free kicks in dangerous places.
Rodon our MOTM so far. Had Piroe scored when he should have, he'd have that honor.

I thought the ref had Piroe offside anywayCjay wrote: ↑Sun Mar 09, 2025 12:54 pm I think have to credit Portsmouth
Said they are the press Kings of the league and they are making it really difficult and forcing errors.
Piroe should have scored (think he's been one of our better players though).
Rodon saved us a few times
Not much else to say.

He's also everywhere on defense when we lose the ball.John in Louisiana wrote: ↑Sun Mar 09, 2025 12:48 pm Tanaka and Gruev, certainly.
Aaronson had some excellent moments, including a pinpoint pass Solomon should have scored from.

Yeah, this dual DM set up is just plain weird and is stunting other players’ hard work. Gruev would be first choice to be subbed for me.John in Louisiana wrote: ↑Sun Mar 09, 2025 12:57 pm All fair.

Ref needs to grow a pair. Could easily have had a penalty awarded in our favor and Ogilvie is lucky his challenge on Mes wasn’t a red.
