It's how we react to this now, if we feel sorry for ourselves we could soon be adrift

Connor will be worthwhile listening to today as he’s been on the “inevitable” and “enjoy it” message of late. He needs to bring back Kagey and Gabe on more to temper his enthusiasm.

Let the wobble commence.

I could see this coming as mentioned before on another thread. Our competition strengthened in January and we did nothing once again. Some players will always have a dip in form on top of injuries. Someone mentioned that we have an abundance of riches? I really don't think we have - there's no one to come on that can really impact a game.

We can't win em all trouble us we need to as those around us are.
But the others aren't dropping points. As I said above, blunts were dominated by Pompey and won. Apart from Burnley and maybe the wendies, I can't see them dropping many points.

We need to give the likes of Gnonto and Rama a start so James and Solomon can come off the bench.

What a s**t performance today

Post by pjm2019 »

Yes it all goes back to NOT bringing anyone in in Jan. How Piroe missed those chances. Our passing was dreadful. So many players were not awake.

Same failures as last year, Farke just doesn't learn

Do nothing in January while our rivals improve. Brereton is this year's Kiefer Moore.
Farke refuses to mix the squad, even with tiredness and poor form, or the opposition

SG90 wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 1:55 pm Exactly, I always expected a difficult April due to a tiring, thin squad, so was never too confident. Especially as the blunts are being outplayed and winning, they don't look like dropping many points.
Even more difficult when you bring fukc all in.

We will be on Weds, as both play on Tuesday and Sunderland won't be far behind.

Gnonto an Ramazani were anonymous today can't think of any spark they brought to the game.

Nerve at this point becomes more important than quality.

Many of our players lost it today in key moments they'd have had it a few months ago.

Am amazed Piroe missed those 2 chances, not acceptable despite an all round very decent game.

Aaronson, James and Solomon were collectively ineffective

And bar Rodon saving us a few times our right hand side was defensively awful.

Portsmouth did what many teams don't and were brave and shut down our ploddy playing out from the back a lot

Also exploited our high line which we seemed incapable of reacting to

Fair play Portsmouth.

Need to react and it's Millwall and we could be 3rd at kickoff

Seems Portsmouth needed the win more than we did today and showed it.
But the ref was s**t.

Adding in the window has improved them a lot as in thas Burnley. If you're trying to win a division or going for promotion you HAVE to strengthen in the Jan window

We are definitely a CB short, A striker short and there's no 10 at the club for this system. Aaronson looks done atm., hasn't played well for a while. Bits and peices but then just disappears for 20 minute periods. That can be expected of a winger but not centre/attacking mid. Needs a rest

Ramazani and Gnonto can. They just haven’t been given much game time. Which would be the same situation that any January acquisition would be in. The lack of squad rotation and late substitutions are showing themselves once again. We’ve seen this movie before…
