Reading through the match thread it's really difficult to understand the criticism of our players and manager. Every player played their part in what was a really good team performance against tricky opposition who've previously beaten us twice this season.

Ridiculous isn't it.

We played really well, totally dominated the second-half, our players worked their tits off to score that second goal to secure the victory.

Robbed of a lovely goal from Piroe with beautiful link play with Aaronson.

Criminal disallowing such a beautiful goal.

Yes.

And as a young player he really impressed In the time he was given.

Had he been given managed and given opportunities I think he'd have been very useful.

Instead Marsch, Farke and co barely let him kick a ball for years.

Imo if we weren't going to buy a 10 Joffy was the ideal Aaronson alternative.

BA would have tripped over his own feet (did alright today tbf)

Rothwell was superb, played 87 minutes after nursing an injury for the last four weeks. Ice-pack on one of his legs at the end of the game.

Farke ensured we got the job done before making substitutions & rightly so imo!

Just back form the game

Due to a fatality accident locally, we had to divert several miles on the journey to ER, then on our way back home, we had longer diversion due to part of the M62 being shut. Generally home by 23.30/23.45.......early hours of the morning at 00.30 when I arrived home, so annoying!!!!!

I think that the powers need to watch that performance and the decisions of the officials. They ran it as though their families were being held hostage at gunpoint by a Chinese betting ring, if you get my drift.

You are quite correct - I don't know what was needed for a player to get a yellow card from Whitestone - maybe murder or rape, certainly GBH was not sufficient. As for the linesman disallowing Piroe's goal for "offside" - apparently the same fellow who did exactly the same in an earlier match - he should be suspended or given a few weeks in League 2.

For some reason some of our fans decide that if Burnley or the Blunts get points in games but are not playing good exciting football its down to them being, tenacious, dogged and persevering, whilst if we have a poor game the knives come out and finger pointing starts at players and manager.
Its always the same game after game, they can never accpet that anything other than us winning the game in the first 5 minutes and going on to play the oposition off the pitch.

The M62 leads to A63 for us as we drop off fans at South Cave, so you may be right, Kev.

It is a forum for debate, but it does seem some members are never happy, even when we win games, and we are still top of the league.

They'd be joint top without the points deduction and Wilder has done far more in his time at Sheffield United than Farke has us (a legendary figure)

And yet that is the top thread.

People react emotionally in game, don't see an issue myself.

You can appreciate the points but question the performance.

The performance of Sheffield United or Burnley is irrelevant to us so we just see the points and react to that.

The performance of our team matters to us so it gets more scrutiny.

Nothing wrong with that imo

The in game matchday thread is by far and away the best of MOT with all it's kneejerk, it's criticism, the moaning, the elation, the relief, the highs and the lows

I know some here hate armchair managers and to be honest I've no clue what they're doing here to be honest if they don't like debate. But armchair fans have a lot of insight born of decades of watching/supporting the team. They know of what they speak, and we all have our little biases, favourites and players we are indifferent to. Absolutely nothing wrong with that
