Re: Luton Town v Leeds United Match Thread
Our problems, obvious throughout the season, remain our problems, no 9, 10 or game changing/scoring CM & we’re too easily bullied especially in a game of throw back football. At no time did we have control of the game today. In the end we were a rag bag of subs. On a brighter note the change of GK worked.

He's absolutely buzzing about this point on the roadand then banging on about how he's been involved in lots of promotion battles.

He did but his lack of pace meant his chance were half chances not good ones... and he ain't getting quicker anytime soon. If we want a slow moving goal scorer then we have Piroe for that

The use of the squad all season has left us with some absolutely knackered and the replacements no where near match sharp.

Struijk and Schmidt subs
Mateo Joseph is ill and Rothwell is out with a calf injury in training. The Pascal had to go out for the last few moments. I'm happy hoe we handled this adversity.
Wanted Byram's physicality, Bogle was on a yellow. Schmidt looked sharp in training. We had the idea if he could cut inside with his right foot he could have a chance.
I wasn't 100% happy with the duels. Largie has to step up a bit if he wants more game time.
Rothwell
I expect Rothwell will be out for the next three weeks or next four games. Try bring him back as quick as possible.
Pascal I'm not sure.
On table position
Depends if Sheff Utd win and Sheff Utd and Burnley play ach other so it might still be in our hands.
If Manor puts the chance of way of course it makes life easier But it's definitley one point gained (Farke again blaming a player which some say he never does)
Never under-estimate a team fighting against relegation with the knife between their pitch.
We have another tough game against Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
Solomon
The answer to his form? Daniel James or Bamford or Piroe.
Yes of course a bit dry in terms of end product but you have that in 46-game season. We have many players who can score goals.
Overall, this is not the problem - weve socred the most goals in the league. But small details are always crucial.
Gnonto
Overall, we got the feeling the day was th e day to come in. Luton dont use that midfield so we could afford today.
I want my numbers 10 to press. It was a diffcukt game for him, of coruse he was not shinging that much.
Darlow and Tanaka
Solid, Was not involved in too many scenes. His body language - he calmed everybody down. He looked very reliable. This game was important for his confidence.
Tanaka? I wouldnlt say too much - in possession he's still there in the duels. I donlt have the feeling that he's tired. A bit patchy of the season.

You can't pin your hopes on converting one or two chances in this division. We maybe created two good chances, both missed? At this level it's not good enough. James' solo effort rescured a point, something out of nothing

Text from a good pal at the game.
Yep. Farke booed at end, presumably for his incomprehensible substitutes. Need a winning goal? Bring on 2 full backs! Last seconds Byram decided to keep ball, rather than put it in box. I said it in January: Lampard in playoffs. Might as well accept Championship football again next season. Haven't played well since Sheffield United game, and Leeds seem unable to win unless they play really well (unlike our rivals). None of which is a surprise....
