Hasn't really hit me yet, but it doesn't feel as emotional as five years ago. It just feels more like a relief we did it.

It feels better. Just that the fans were there.
The scheduling was quite perfect. Everyone got to celebrate a great performance that virtually guaranteed things. Then out for a few pints and back to the ground to the celebrate with the players.
Last time was relief because we'd been in the mire for so long. But it certainly wasn't easier this time. There was definitely a ton of relief.

It was all very tense where I sit in the East stand up until the 6th minute and even then it remained cautious for another couple of minutes after which it turned to party mode. Great day and as has been mentioned by Leon, days we live for! Next Monday night should be a special atmosphere as we push on for the title

Cry Yorkshire, Harry and St Joe!Sean_Nile wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 7:57 pm Once more into the breach bold hearts of York;
and seal our fate with thunder, pride, and song.
Long have we wandered 'neath the shadow's cloak, but now our banner flies where lions throng.
See Rodon stand, a lion rampant true,
And Farke, whose hand doth guide with quiet might. Cry God for Leeds! for York! for white and blue! And let the South now tremble at the sight!

Statement from Paraag
Dear Leeds United supporters,
After a long season of hard work both on and off the pitch, we are returning to the Premier League!
To Daniel and the squad - thank you for your relentless pursuit of this achievement. You have been exemplary throughout the campaign and have rightly earned your place in Leeds United history. You represent everything it means to play for this club, and we are all incredibly proud.
To our amazing supporters - we would not be in this position without you. Thank you for bringing the passion and energy that carried us throughout the season. This is the first time in 35 years that we have achieved promotion in person in front of our supporters, so I hope you enjoy every moment celebrating with fellow fans, friends and loved ones.
The Premier League is where Leeds belongs, and our goal is to establish a long-term presence there. With that in mind, we have been quietly preparing the club for this moment. The road ahead won’t be easy but we are ready to step confidently into this next chapter.
Above all, this is your club and your promotion. I want to thank each and every one of you, along with the players and every member of staff at Elland Road and Thorp Arch, for your tireless commitment in pursuit of this unforgettable moment.
We still have a chance to finish this season with a trophy. Let’s show the squad we are behind them over the final two matches.
I look forward to rejoining the Premier League alongside all of you. Enjoy the celebrations - we’ve earned them!
Marching on Together.

Re: Official Leeds United Live: PROMOTED!
I would say definitely in a stronger place team wise.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 7:56 pm We're in a better place. We've got a bit of premier league experience for starters. And I'm pretty sure we've got deeper pockets.
Only counter to that is we dont have Marcelo.
Last time when we went up we had an untested keeper, Messlier. Now we know we need better rather than sticking with him.
Last time we basically had no out and out left back, Alioski playing there. So whilst we may lose Firpo we should be able to sign someone. Centreback though was an issue last time as we only really had Cooper and a very raw Struyjk (White having returned to Brighton and Berardi out injured leaving us no back up). This time round we have Rodon, Struyjk, Ampadu and Wober. Right back we had Ayling and I would say Bogle is better than him even though Ayling was great for us.
Midfield and we had KP, Klich and Dallas. Okay KP at that point was better than any of our midfielders and Klich too and Dallas did brilliantly. Now we have Ampadu, Tanaka and Gruev. I don't think we are too far behind although I would be surprised if we didn't strengthen our midfield.
On the wings and when we went up we had Harrison and Helder Costa. Without a doubt we are better there with James, Gnonto and Ramizani. Harrison did well for us in the prem but we got little out of Costa.
No.10 is an interesting one as we went up with Pablo but then he hardly played. As such I would say we went up with that position to be filled, same as this time.
Up top and we had Bamford. Though at the promotion point it was the barndoor version who I think had got 17 goals. Piroe is more of a goal threat though Bamford turned himself into a better all round player.
What we do have though this time around is saleable players. We didn't really have that last time, apart from KP. So we had no money to bring in and I think we were already on the hook for £13M+ for Costa , £7M for Messlier and a hefty loan fee for Harrison (and that is without what it later cost us for JKA). This time around if for example we decided to sell some players we'd bring in some decent fees (such as if we sold any of Messlier, Wober, Ramizani, Gruev, Aaronsnen etc if we deemed them not good enough or they wanted out).

LOVE IT! Getting off work now and now have my chance to watch the 6-0 throttling of Stoke. I can’t believe that scoreline. Was in the middle of a meeting when I saw that and tried my best to contain my excitement. Can’t wait to skim the match thread while watching.

Just got home from an evening out, so I missed the greatest moment of our season when we got promoted. I’ve been the driver so not a drop of alcohol in my bloodstream. Bugger and double bugger.
I do however have a bottle of whisky bought for my birthday (monkey shoulder) which I intend to do serious damage to, to celebrate our wonderful season. Thank you, anonymous forum friends for making this season enjoyable and agonising in equal amounts. Roll on next season.

That would have been a good line, especially since Young Harry played.
