Scripted but for me anyway, well received and what I expect from a chairman of a big club (yes I do believe we still are).

I tend to believe him when he talks of preparations being underway. There is very little shoot from the hip stuff with this guy. (Must be killing him living in Trumpistan?)

Hopefully all the moths are released from the wallet soon.

So this is 'phase 2' about to begin.

'Phase 3' will be stabilizing our position, aiming for top 6, decent cashflow, then a new stadium.

All quite elementary really.

What about deBruyne as Man City are getting rid of him ? I realise that he is not a spring chicken but surely he could do a job in midfield rather like Strachan and Bobby Collins did back in the day.

I would definitely take him on for a season, a top class star who should have something special to offer.

Unfortunately, he is probably beyond our reach financially. We can't afford to put all our eggs in one basket.

The likes Citeh/Lverpool/Arsenal stars playing for Leeds is dreamland stuff.

Easter Monday 35 years ago was the first time I went out with my better half, my mate and I had watched Leeds beat Sheff Utd 4-0 to go top of the league then met her in a club later. Still happily married and went out again last night to celebrate, we got promoted that season as well. The world has aligned again.

Its been a roller coaster ride of emotions throughout the season but Leeds have made it to the Premier League.
When great things happen you always remember the day and April 21st is day we clinched promotion.
Lets finish off the season strong, but I would like to Plymouth survive as they beat the Blades and did us a favour.
LEEDS FOREVER............ :)

That was a good day. Remember it well. Especially the Gary Speed goal.

I love that the national press are all having a "Can they stay up? discussion. We haven't even finished this season yet, let alone started preseason training for a new one.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has spoken to both Patrick Bamford and Daniel Farke after the Blades boss was targeted for abuse during Leeds United's promotion celebrations.

Striker Bamford was pictured on social media at Elland Road's post-promotion party leading a derogatory chant about Wilder.

But the Sheffield United manager said he had "no issue" with the Leeds man bringing him into their celebrations particularly given Bamford picked up the phone to speak with him the following day.

"Had a conversation with Pat yesterday and I've no issue at all with it," Wilder told BBC Radio Sheffield. "I'm not sure about the words used from a fellow pro! But I appreciated and respected him giving me a call.

"We had 20 minutes and the same again I spoke to Daniel [Farke] as well yesterday and had a half-hour chat with him and he is a super guy, a top guy.

"They are a top team and a top football club and like I said I'm a big boy. When I was playing we used to give it and take it and that's part and parcel of the game at every level, even on a Sunday morning.

"I have absolutely no issue. I am cool with it and I said that to Pat."

Wilder has form in the book after being filmed singing derogatory songs about Sheffield Wednesday and manager Danny Rohl after posting and away victories in the two Steel City derbies this season.

And in the 2018-19 season, when the Blades won automatic promotion and Leeds missed out, losing in the play offs, Wilder branded Bamford "a muppet".

Sheffield United now find the boot on the other foot and face a nervous wait to see whether they can plot a path through the play-offs and go up with Leeds and Burnley.

But he was full of praise for the job that Leeds have done this season.

"I would swap our position for theirs in a heartbeat but it isn't the case," Wilder added. "But as I keep going on about, 94 points for both of those teams is an incredible achievement."
