Daniel Farke said this today to Adam Pope : On his experience with Norwich in Premier League: "We spent £8m with Norwich and had a miracle in picking up more points than any of the three teams relegated this season."

I just had to Google her, she's very pretty, what do you mean?

Wiki : Marilyn Foreman, better known as Mandy Rice-Davies, was a Welsh model and showgirl best known for her association with Christine Keeler and her role in the Profumo affair, which discredited the Conservative government of British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan in 1963.

She's famous for saying in court "Well he would wouldn't he?"

So in effect in 2 seasons in the prem they spent a total of £11m. Considering that they'd also sold Ben Godfrey to Everton for £25m in the year in between and it really does show what Farke was up against.
Interesting stuff Weasel ( and Ruttermania ) wasn't aware of just how little he had to play with in terms of money being spent on getting better players.
All we seem to hear was just how s**t Farke was in the Premiership.
Guess that's a case of not letting the truth get in the way of a misleading story.

He wasn't great but there is enough mitigation that his time at Norwich, in the Prem, shouldn't define him.

16 defeats in a row combined over 2 separate seasons (record)

10 in a row in one season (only twice has anyone reached double figures)

The worst Premier League ppm in history of any manager whose ever managed more than half a season.

And that can be mitigated to aw poor Daniel?

You can appreciate his job this season and rave about last but his Premier League record is a joke.

He's literally the answer to quiz questions.

By that logic Paul Heckingbottom didn't get a fair chance as his Premier League record in his season was largely funded by the sales of two of the best players and his net spend was the same as DF in season 2.

If we lose the first 3 games of next season then the clamour for Farke's head will go into overdrive, which would be ridiculous but that's exactly what would happen.

He's lost 71% of his Premier League games

Taken 5 points from his last 21 games and lost 18.

For Comparison Southampton have taken 5 from last 12 games.

Promotion or no promotion he's extremely lucky to get a 3rd chance in the Premier League if he does.

Trouble is with that is that most managers get sacked before their poor run reaches those proportions - as such there are plenty of worse managers.

If Martin Russell doesn't get sacked how awful would his premier league stats be, etc

I wouldn't judge Heckingbottom because of his premier league record as he was dealt a near impossible task.

Look we get it you hate Farke. You'd have rather we hadn't got promoted. You will be hoping we don't go up as champions. Get over it. Farke did a very good job for us and deserves another crack at the premier league and a chance to improve on his dismal record there.

No I just have never known a manager be credited with so much and absolved of basically anything that goes wrong.

You are forgetting once again, Cjay

Norwich a Championship team (as is the case with Ipswich) vs Premier League teams

Totally different level.

Alright.

I don't think his "they didn't give me tons of cash" excuse washes myself.

You've got to be massively at fault as a manager to lose 16 games in a row.

Whether he "deserves" another chance is up for debate with a record like that.

Given has never been a single sniff of interest in him since he came here doesn't seem like anyone else thinks he does.

LUFC took a chance on him, he owes us if anything not the other way around.

Building a squad capable of competing with PL teams matters big-time, that & with the players having harmony & a strong mentality & belief in themselves.

He had buckets of money here, far more than basically anyone else but apparently that didn't matter it was all his genius?

But all of a sudden having limited money (not the smallest budget in Premier League history by any means) was entirely to blame?

He lost 16 games in a row, 16.

Money or no money that's a far bigger issue than money.

You can be hard to beat on peanuts (we see it in the cups with conference teams whose players have work on Monday).

Money helps absolutely but 16 loses in a row isn't a money issue.

Neither is nearly 50 goals conceded and a handful scored

Curious how Ruud Van Nistelrooy's record in charge of Man Utd was better than his record at Leicester.

I just can't work it out

Of course there are concerns about a lot of things going forward and Farke will need to show that he can cope with being at the higher level but I'm not sure exactly what you want other than to bring it to everyone's attention that he wasn't very good in the PL previously.

Would you prefer we change manager now for example, rather than waiting to see how it goes ?

That would be fine (as an opinion) and maybe you should just come out and say it as you weren't behind Farke at the beginning of this current season either.
