A £250,000 new Lamborghini
A £750,000 new Ferrari
And a £1million new Bugatti.

You finished 3rd of 4th beating the Lamborghini and the £1million Bugatti won then has the Bugatti driver done a better job than you?
There would be no need to criticise the Bugatti driver though. He may have had the best car but he won the race so it was well done, he couldn't really have done any better. Well done also for the team on choosing him. The Ford driver may be better at getting the most out of an old banger but no guarantee he can get the best tune out of the best car. It wouldn't be a criticism just an acknowledgement that the Ford driver under the circumstances has overachieved on what could be reasonably expected whilst the Bugatti driver has hit his target.

You could argue the Bugatti driver could only underachieve or hit his target whereas everyone else could do 3 different things.

But the Ford driver should be nowhere near any of them let alone not finish last.

Yes indeed so Farke was by your argument more likely to fail but didn't. Whereas the Ford driver had a reasonable chance of overachieving, and did to a certain extent but didn't hugely overachieve.

So well done for finally acknowedging what a fantastic job Farke has done. Messiah like in your words.

Whats Farke got to do with it? We are talking about a car race :duno:

The Bugatti driver had all the advantages, most expensive car, fastest car, so only driver error could reasonably have it not hit its target.

It didn't take an exceptional driver to win the race just a normal one with normal ability able to simply keep it on the track and let the advantage of having the best car be the best car.

Whereas anyone overachieving would need a driver overachieving with what they had and therfore would need to be better than average at the very least.

The Ford driver had to be better than average to finish 3rd

The only driver who had to do anything more than the bare minimum was in the Ford

A Messiah of driving

However when you go up a level the Bugatti driver now has to use the Ford in a race with BMW's and Mercedes-Benz and Nissans and all manner of cars.

Now the Bugatti driver is in the position the Ford one was and now he has to be the exceptional driver.

The trouble is though that let's say there were, for argument's sake, that there are 20 cars in the race and as such 20 drivers. Now how do we know whether lots of drivers were useless and as such underperformed and as such the ford driver was simply just a competent driver - sort of like if lots of cars were being driven by Wayne Rooney. So the Ford driver, lets call him Carlos Corberan, simply drove steadily whereas lots of cars crashed out. So did Corberan actually overachieve?
The Bugatti driver, in this case Mr Farke, though had to make sure he didn't crash out but also make sure that he drove at a very good level so that no one else was able to catch him.

Just because you wear a Davy Crockett hat doesn't mean you won't look silly wearing frilly pink pyjamas and a goldifsh bowl on your head. In fact forget the goldfish bowl that is irrelevant to the story and I would hate to confuse the issue as people may wonder if it was possible to wear a goldfish bowl and the DC hat at the same time.

The question plain and simple m'lud is who is the best manager in the Championship this year.

Not who has the most expensive team.
Not who has the most resources.
Not who has won the most trophies.
Not how they performed at Norwich or in Germany.
Not the success of Corberan in Spain.
Not about Schmidt or Knutsen.
Not about Jose and Keyes
Not about a subdued Farke at Plymouth.
Not about the appointment of a top class manager, and certainly not about a race between cars.

What we have seen presented here is a smoke screen, a complicated diversion, tangential arguments that have no bearing, on the question being asked... namely who is the best manager in the championship. The poll, by an overwhelming majority proclaimed that Daniel Farke was the best manager, and reflects that most fans have confidence in their manager. He was top of the division, having scored the most goals, that is an incontrovertible fact.

This court has been sidetracked, and led down blind alleyways, discussing all manner of hypothetical outcomes and scenarios, not to shed light on the matter at hand, but to belittle and besmirch the character and achievements of Daniel Farke. He has been vilified and undergone the most subtle character assassination, and the most spurious arguments have been made to tarnish his success at gaining promotion. This has been the tactics of the opposition.

M'lud the facts speak for themselves he said he was 100% sure that Leeds would be promoted, a claim laughed at by many, and scorned by the pessimists, but he delivered on his promise... and now he has the full backing of the owners... with a promised budget to help Leeds survive in the premiership.

This endorsement signifies a seal of approval that he was the best manager in the championship. I rest my case.

The awards where on a Sunday and we were playing on the Monday so Farke couldn't attend to accept the award was probably the reason.

No surprise there, even he's not managed to win a championship trophy yet.

Anyway, Danni-bashing will resume come August, poor man won't stand a chance when we lose more games on a regular basis.

I heard it was a close tie, and the EFL asked Farke and Parker to send in photos of their cars. Some say that this influenced the committee to cast the vote for Parker. and some say snobbishness won.
