Looks OK.
Another one though who hasn't been a regular, more of a backup
He's only played 58 games worth of league minutes in 4 seasons for Lille.
Hopefully a bargain or atleast better than his lack of minutes suggests.

Wierd isn't it. We have players that play intermitently but are good yet "need to be gone" But a new signing that's basically failing elsewhere is a great get
He might be good but at 26 and never having broken through why do we expect him to play well in the strongest league in Europe? .. And out of the gate

Didn't the scouting team that gave us Ampadu Rodon, etc leave the building already? This is an untested group isn't it?

It can't be easy as a newly promoted club, agents and players will know the difficulties they've had recently and even longer In The first season.
No player wants a relegation on their cv.
So you either take a chance on potential younger potential gems from lesser league? Try and find potential bargains further down the line career wise like this lad or the other 2 Germans or pay top dollar for more proven players?
Beyond money we don't have much pull for an established top league mid table player lets be honest.
Players of that level now won't care about 20,30,40,50 years ago or Daniel Farke and his 3 2nd division promotions.
You have to trust the data and hope we got it right.

I will say from the tape, Firpo looks the better LWB. We need two so hopefully this is #2 if he signs. Or he's coming to back up Schmidt who's tape and apperances for us I've been very impresed byCjay wrote: ↑Wed Jul 02, 2025 11:13 pm He may be very decent.

Does anyone know if we are any closer to signing the LB Gummerson from what I have read he would be a decent option in that position.

Gudmundsson reportedly involved in pre-season training at Lille?
'It’s obvious that Gudmundsson would like to move to the Premier League if the opportunity arises, which looks to be the case with Leeds.
That being said, he’s not looking to burn bridges at Lille by refusing to train ahead of their Ligue 1 campaign, reporting for training as normal.
It also doesn’t mean that Gudmundsson might not be flying out as soon as possible by the time Leeds and Lille come to an agreement, if they do.
However, hopes of him putting pen to paper on a contract at Elland Road right this second appear premature.'

Next week has to be a BIG week for getting incoming quality players who will be in our starting 11. No one really knows if we are being outbid or players that say no to us are really near the top of our shopping list. Pre season starts next week so we need players coming in so we can let others leave.
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players

It’s a tough situation. When a team gets promoted to the Premier League, they want to sign players who already have experience and are known to be good. But that’s not so easy. Big-name players worry about the team being sent back down after just one season. If that happens, they might have to find a new club quickly—and changing clubs isn’t easy. Uprooting a family, adjusting to a new city, dealing with media preassure- all of that which becomes more intense compounded by the threat of relegation.
These players also think about how fans might react. Leaving after one year could make them look bad—like they don’t care about the team. That can hurt their image.
Take Douglas Luiz, for example. He’s played in the Premier League and shown he’s a quality player. But even someone like him knows there’s a risk. If the team doesn’t stay up, he might have to move again. That’s hard—not just in football, but in life. Players have families, homes, and lives outside of the game. We often forget that side of things.

It's a fallacy that the team doing the signings has left the building, imo Farke is in total control here.
