Ball seems to have died, a spinner would have been interesting as the wicket probably takes it now

Need a wicket

Unsure it's the correct policy to defend your wicket, and not to progress the score, sometimes you have to trust your tail-enders

India must have refused to take singles 12 to 15 times.

A vital freakish wicket for England to win the third Test.

India should have been a bit more positive in my opinion.

What a way for the test match to end. Poor Siraja. I'm so pleased that Crawley, Root and Brook went over to him when he was down and out on the ground, reminded me of Brett Lee and the ashes 2005. Was it Freddie who went to console him?

Yeah, but to be fair Swannie Brett Lee is a dingo's piss swilling tosser

So, consoling him was unnecessary :)

They definitely should. Nurdling along like that just increases the chance of getting a good ball. You aren't putting any pressure on the bowlers. Someone comes in and smashes it about and suddenly the total is a lot nearer.

We saw it with England chasing totals in the last couple of years. If they all go in positive then yes some will get out but all it needs is one or two to really get going, like how Bairstow did, and the bowlers become ragged, the target is shrinking quickly, the fielders are all under pressure and even if a wicket goes down you are loads nearer the target than if you nurdled along and scored 12 runs from 15 overs.

For me we played sh*te this match. Players like Crawley and Pope can't go in to try to play more defensively. All that happens is that when the good ball comes they get out having scored 20 runs instead of 40 or 50. I think we only have Root that is suited to playing both defensively and attacking - the others are all better going in and attacking. If 5 get out for low scores then hopefully the 6th gets a big hundred. All that happened in this match is that we got lower scores in both innings than I think we would if we'd have played attacking and maybe 'threw away' some of our wickets.
