Some decent signings but we said that the season Marsh was bringing in players to send us down.

Team feels a little more solid than that time though.

Decent base but not a lot to get excited about.

I get that we have to be stronger defensively but we need a playmaker to punish teams when they sit back.

I get that but why say they are going to sign marquee players when they have no intention to buy quality players I would prefer 4 quality than 6 also rans that are injury prone just saying .They are now after Harry brookes if he signs he will be OK but another Welsh man in the team that will be 5 current players

Just did a quick fbref check and its an interesting one.

He's not injury prone..... Ranks in the top 11% of prem wingers for goals per 90 minutes played at 0.42. Looks like he knows where the goal is......

That said he ranks in the lowest 29% of prem wingers for assists and you can see that when looking at his data he doesn't really create goals but likes to finish moves off averaging one or two assists a season and scoring around 6 per season on average in the prem.

He has been used as a sub mostly so there's an argument both ways, good player coming on vs tired legs to score a winner or good player who hasn't had a lot of game time and could improve his numbers with more. Choose your poison kind of thing.

Worrying part for me is he is supposed to be the last addition.

No creativity centrally and you can really see that in the first few games/preseason. If we don't get a Buendia type player in think we're fairly solid but doubt we'll score many.

Pushing attackers out wide is the ideal for situation for a defending team.... The 14 area just in front of of the D accounts for around 50% of goal creating actions in prem I once read. Having a central goal threat also creates a bit more room for wingers to operate and greater jeopardy for defenders.

Don't feel we'll score many this season from situations where we should which is frustrating as I genuinely think we're two players away from having a lower prem stable starting 11.
