You are a contradiction wrapped up in an enigma.

First you say I am a stalker, so I decide that I won't reply to you directly if you feel you are being stalked.

Then you say it is the indirect stuff that bugs you... once I have complied with your no stalking injunction.

Then we turn full circle and you say, directly question away.

I don't get the logic in any of your above statements. It is just a mish mash of contradictions.

Backup full backs aren't as important as goals and creativity.
Did you watch our team playing football last season? I know that at times that it comes across like you don't really understand football but even you must have noticed that a lot of our creativity came from our fullbacks. Bogle had 6 goals and 4 assists and Junior Firpo had 4 goals and 10 assists. They directly had a hand in 24 of our league goals of our 95 goals. Over a quarter of our goals featured a direct involvement from our full backs. Our no.10 supposedly the most creative position on the pitch had 2 assists.

So I would say that our fullbacks are extremely important when it comes to goals and creativity. Given how we are set up to be solid in the middle our fullbacks may be given even more license to get forward - we have already seen our only goal from open play come from Bogle. As such it is imperative that we have a good replacement to come in if either Bogle or GG get injured. James Justin scored twice and had 2 assists in the prem last season, for a team that only scored 33 goals. So with him having a hand in 1/8th of their goals he achieved a similar record to our 2 full backs who combined had a hand in 1/4 of our goals.

He attacks defenders and has an eye for goal. I repeat: I do not care how much he upset Farke: we should have kept him and played him. He was what we needed vs Newcastle at the weekend and could have been the difference between 1 point and 3 (IMO)...
Like you I would have liked Ramazani to stay as I think he is capable of scoring goals out of nothing and offers us something different. However if Farke feels he doesn't fit into the team ethos then he had to get rid of him. We all saw him enjoying the partying and maybe that is his personality and that might rub off against more disclipline pros such as Rodon and Ampadu. It could be a similar scenario to how Cantona didn't fit in with the hard working Wilko side but fitted better into the MU side where he was idolised by the young players such as Giggs and Sharpe.

Clever accounting.

Plenty of Premier league clubs don't technically own their ground.
What do we have to sell? Correct me if I'm wrong but we don't own hotels or even our training pitch. I'm sure selling the stadium would go down well with the fans.

Our 10 was crap

A better 10 would have got tons of assists like Rutter as you well know but want to make your sarky point :shhh:

But regardless

If you are struggling for goals and to even create chances you sign attacking players.

No club in history buys backup full backs for that purpose, for a man who understands football to your astounding level it's a strange hill to die on.

And even if was some logic to the full back argument James Justin isn't a creative full back, he's only got more than 2 goals and 2 assists in 1 league season, in league 1 7, 8 years ago.

So even then it's not really logical.

Even if the backup full back was necessary keep Schmidt till you have other areas covered, and Ramazani for that matter.

It's one of the main reasons Brentford and Brighton have got where they are, they have a habit of having signing requirements ticked (sometimes years in advance) before losing players.

You did say that you felt only 3 first 11 signings was it plus replacements for Solomon and Firpo was enough?

So based on that this is good enough to expect DF to keep us up reasonably?

Jeez Cjay you keep digging that hole. Ever heard of a fella called Pep Guardiola? Came to Man City, they had won the title the year previously and he took that team and finished 3rd. In the summer he prioritised a certain position, let's see if you can work it out. He bought 3 full backs, each of them costing over £50m. He knew that the key players in his system were the full backs, he didn't want 1, he didn't want 2 he wanted 3 even though, and here's the kicker, only two of them could play at once.

Not sure if you have heard of a fella called Trent Alexander Arnold.......

As for your assertion that JJ isn't an attacking football based just on stats well neither would GG be based on just the actual stats. However DF obviously wants players who are good at bringing the ball forward and he is giving them license to be the one putting crosses in or even scoring for themselves. Jayden Bogle, fella that plays for Leeds, had 0 assists in the 23-24 season and only 1 in each of the previous 2 seasons.

Full backs are absolutely vital to Farke's system. They, combined with the wingers, create the threat - especially given that we are seem to be playing 3 midfielders (rather than 2 midfielders and a 10).

If they sold the stadium though then all the plans for expansion go up in smoke, broken promises etc. And then what if it goes tits up? We have nothing, no assets and likely see a fire sale like the one that happened under Ridsdale, Krasner etc after TA and ER were sold and there was nothing.

I knew you'd mention Pep :roflmao:

And in your superior arrogant manner as well, thanks for not disappointing.

Unfortunately you have much to learn grasshopper.

Man City hadn't won the title for oh 2,3 years prior to his first season, memory fading somewhat but don't even think they'd been top 2.

They also spent probably 150mil on attacking players in his 1st seasons to add to the already elite proven Attackers they already had (Aguero, Silva, Toure, Sterling) not exactly struggling for goals or creativity.

So Pep was trying to fix a system issue not an outcome one.

We are needing to fix an outcome one because we are creating the square root of naff all.

It's completely different situations.

But anyway good effort.

Now please answer the question.

Do you now believe this squad is perfectly adequate to expect DF to achieve survival?

We don't even own ER anyway, the 49ers do. So we couldn't "sell" it anyway.

And those calling for assets to be sold would be the first to call them asset strippers.

Not true

https://www.leedsunited.com/en/news/ell ... eds-united

We didn't "own it" but do now.

Besides all this the stadium is absolutely fundamental to the owners plans, they need the expansion to be able to include it in the sale of the club to make tons of cash.

So isn't like they'd bulldoze it to build houses.

And it's an asset of community value, they literally can do naff all with it even if they did transfer it to a new company in an ffp fiddle

How true is that though? Radz claimed we owned it, but it was really him and we still had to pay rent.

Well you make my argument for me really. Fair do yes it appears they hadn't won the title in the year prior to his arrival. But as you say they spent £150m on attacking players, adding to their already elite players, but it wasn't enough - hence spending the big money on 3 full backs. So Pep was trying to fix a system and he did that by buying the full backs. As such us spending £10m on a fullback that enables us to keep attacking from those positions is very sensible - and equally as we got next to nothing in terms of assists from the 10 position us and worsening in that position would not be as detrimental as a worsening of output from the full back positions.

As for your question only time will tell. I would have liked an attacking 10 but that and us spending £10m on a 'back-up' fullback are not linked. We didn't not spend £10m on a 10 because we'd spent £10m on a full back. Not spending £10m on a back up full back would have simply made the squad weaker.

They added players and improved significantly on the previous season then he added more and as you say a few full backs and improved again.

But they never had a goal issue or a creativity one , I think it was the other end actually, and then again adding defenders makes sense in that regard as well and as you say for the overall system.

We on the other hand struggled for creativity from the 10 role and in central areas all last season, and based on this season and pre season we are struggling even worse now.

And I do get the point about full backs and the Farke system etc and if it were a first choice right back to improve on Bogle for example I'd say OK fair enough as improving the first 11 is important

But a backup one? Not for me other priorities if money really was an issue.
