Streaming cold which seems to be headed for the chest. Last time that happened I was laid up for 2 months. Managed to "cook" breakfast though, GF Crumpets, topped with marmalade and smoky bacon

I find it strange how calcified arteries cause 1 of 2 nasties...
Either stroke or heart attack... Is it pot luck which you get??
Does anyone with medical knowledge have an answer??
In bot cases you get blood thinners for the rest of your life...

My second of four bowls matches at Hornsea at 7pm.
Our best player Nick at Cranswick BC, has asked me to stand in for him.....what the hell was he thinking?
I'm partnering an excellent young lady bowler.
Nick is watching Joffy at the MKM stadium.

Lovely, the citrus cuts through the saltiness of the bacon, Got it from the TV series Recipes of Love and Murder on U Drama, she uses Kumquat marmalade but it works well with any.

You do well to eat the GF crumpets,my wife's tried all brands even made her own once, they ended up on the bin.Its a proper pain in the arse being coeliac even me that isn't!The Subhuman wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 11:40 am Streaming cold which seems to be headed for the chest. Re: What are you doing today ?
You get used to them. You have to over cook them or they stay doughy, loads of butter or marge to soak in
Genius are the best but still something like £2.30 for 4, compared to a quid for ten for normal ones. Bread is a hassle too. My newish loaf of Genius is basically a bag of breadcrumbs now and that's 2.70 for half a loaf? I got the top three slices out intact before the rest fell apart.
I've been a coeliac for 20 years now. Forgotten what real bread/biscuits/pasta taste like

Re: What are you doing today ?
Reyt, ere I am.
Tbh Leon I could feel myself slipping back into my PTSD bad times and needed a bit of a break. When that happens I find myself getting irritable with others and know from past experience if I don’t calm myself down I can get a bit self destructive and I don’t want to take that road. The guilt trip, you know?
Anyway, enough about me - I’ve been reading about poor Rab, puts my little tantrum into perspective. Hope he gets better soon, will drop him a line, plus I have one or two other messages to catch up on.
