Does Okafor have a future at Leeds? - Poll of the Day (20th Jan)
Only two goals in his 20 appearances.
No goals & assists in his last 16 games.
Often one of the first to be substituted.
Has a MOT average season player ratings of 5.5 in his 15 starts & 5 sub appearances.
Even fans stood around me in the kop have labelled Noah as lazy.
Yes, he has the pace to beat defenders, but his end product is often poor.
Does Okafor require more time to settle in at Leeds to show his potential.
A friend of mine said to me in the summer that Aaronson wouldn't make it in the Premier League.

He has the pace to beat some defenders, he's not Dan James quick..

We've bought him and Farke likes him, so he has a future, just unsure of his role going forward. We might try to move him in nthe summmer though

Okafor doesn’t press aggressively, doesn’t track back, doesn’t tackle, isn’t creative in the middle third, doesn’t cross effectively, only scores the odd tap-in.
Not really Leeds is he?
It’s a no from me and as it stands, the sooner we move him on the better.

I kept my eye on him on Saturday, to watch what the cameras wouldn’t be showing. I saw very little effort off the ball, which could explain our left sided weakness, but then he can do something decent, once in a while. He’s not the Leeds type, so I voted no, but we all know how stubborn DF can be. A bit like Bielsa and Tyler Roberts.

Bielsa played Roberts when we had a number of injuries, he was basically a back up though. He did well at the championship level for me for us when called on which wasn't often. Okafor seems to be entrenched as a starter for the most part. That should change now we've signed Buonanotte

Of course Farke might drop Aaronson for FB and still start Okafor, going to be interesting to see how it pans out though

Re: Does Okafor have a future at Leeds? - Poll of the Day (20th Jan)
Said it for some time now but what I see is a player that either can't or won't pull his weight in the team. We see flashes when he scoots past opponents but in any game those occasional glimses are simply not enough. He os also compromising the left side of our attack and unhelpful for Gudmindsson who does like to bomb forward.
Mostly I see Okafor coasting in games and by half time he is blowing hard. For the rest of the game until he is hooked he takes longer and longer breathers before he puts effort in. Half way through a season and it cannot be an excuse that he is working himself towards full fitness surely.
Our team lacks quality and as a promoted team I can accept that but also, look at the recent games in particular when we have put together an excellent run and results, we are a tremendously hard working team to compensate. Apart from Okafor who just slacks.
We have a passenger that we have had to carry and that for me is on Daniel Farke. We need much, much better than Okafor

He has pace but no end product and he's lazy in my view

Odd one out here then
Personally think he could be a great player for us in the future, taking a bit more time to settle than others I agree with that, is he fit enough ? Well as much as I am a Farke fan, Okafors fitness is down to him and the rest of the coaches. Probably needs some time on the bench, coming on later in games, see if he can have some impact via that route.
A bit early to be saying he is a dud and let's get rid ( IMO)

I can't make my mind up whether to vote no or unsure.
16 games without a goal or an assist & a run of unimpressive displays suggests the latter.

Struggling with pace of the Premier League?
Like most European players who are strikers I think .
Impact player from the bench seems the way forward at the moment

16 games without a goal or an assist & a run of unimpressive displays would tend to suggest the former I’d have thought?

Re: Does Okafor have a future at Leeds? - Poll of the Day (20th Jan)
At the minute it’s no for me, surely DF has seen the same as the rest of us and has had a word in his ear so he’s either not capable of changing or not interested. Farke obviously doesn’t rate Gnonto enough to start him on the left or he’s waiting until Buonanotte is match fit but something has to change. There’s no reason a Premier league player shouldn’t be fit in January so there’s an issue there that needs addressing soon.
Maybe a goal or a couple of assists will reignite him like DCL but imho he needs dropped soon & used off the bench.

£18m doesn't buy much these days. I wonder how much we would get back for him ?

Aaronson has the right attitude, and isn't lazy though. I don't think there's any comparison.1964white wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 8:29 am Only two goals in his 20 appearances.

He's very likely to improve in his second season as he's yet to settle in England... happens more often than not. But that's why bench minutes not starting minutes for me.

When we learned the Swiss national manager wouldn’t pick Okafor everyone initially assumed it was a personality issue - I think we know differently now. He simply doesn’t work hard enough, and I’m surprised that DF puts up with that.

Re: Does Okafor have a future at Leeds? - Poll of the Day (20th Jan)
I voted Yes.
While I agree with many of the comments, he is starting nearly every game.
That in itself suggests that DF sees something in his capability and performances. Otherwise, use Gnonto/Piroe etc. Maybe DF sees him as a 60 minute player.
So does he have a future - Yes.
Do I like that scenario - Not really.
