I was between NO and Unsure. I ultimately went with Unsure.

Okafor does have some quickness to him, but he looks a bit heavy to me. And after half a season mostly starting games fitness shouldn't be a problem. But as we've seen he doesn't track back like he should. And he's just not that active generally. His finishing quality is not great! He is what we Americans call a "Project" player. Sometimes coaches see something in a player and try to build them into something useful. Having watched him a bit when he was with RB Salzburg, I really thought he was a promising player. But he seemed to get found out in Italy. And so far his move to the Premier League is not showing him in the best light.

Time will tell I'm sure, so let's give him a bit :)
Hang on a minute, John

Aaronson played a huge part in our Championship title winning season.

BA didn't produce the goods anywhere near as often as he should.

I'm amazed the yesses and unsures outweigh the nays on this poll.

We are a tolerant and forgiving forum, and I'm off to flagellate myself with a pig's intestines for my shameful criticism.

Different season, different club, different scenario.

Brenden still played an important part in our title-winning season & continues to do so in the Premier League unlike some of our other championship stars.

We bought Aaronson to play in the PL, and he'll remain a PL player next season, whilst Joffy will still be strutting his stuff for Hull or an alternative championship club.

Each to their own.

He's had a decent few games BA recently but one of the players we need to not be sentimental over and improve on in the summer imo if we stay up.

That's how you progress.

Gelhardt being written off despite being younger and performing better in the same league seems odd as well tbh.

Gelhardt having a much better season at a team not in the same class as the team Aaronson was on last season, he's been class this season.

Aaronson a squad player for us next season. :-D

Even my Hull pals say Joffy is too slow to play in the PL, straight out of the horse's mouth!

Voted yes.

This season so far has been about settling in and getting match fit.

Hopefully we'll see a more from Okafor in the future as he does have talent.

I wasn't having a go at BA, I was using him as an example of a player that requires time to adjust, which I think we can all agree "he did"
As for last season in the Championship, agreed he had a very good season, however it wasn't the PL and he had been with us for well over half a season.
I think we have a good player in Okafor, however he is not doing it at the minute and therefore needs to improve 😉

Went for the splinters in the backside 'Unsure' option.

Agree that he has the pace to beat defenders, but that his end product is more times than not poor/very poor. However, that could be levelled at others, especially DJ, who I think is overrated and will never cut it (if ever fit) consistently in the PL.

No goals & assists in his last 16 games.

Often one of the first to be substituted.

Has a MOT average season player ratings of 5.5 in his 15 starts & 5 sub appearances.

Even fans stood around me in the kop have labelled Noah as lazy.

Yes, he has the pace to beat defenders, but his end product is often poor.

Does Okafor require more time to settle in at Leeds to show his potential.

A friend of mine said to me in the summer that Aaronson wouldn't make it in the Premier League.

The question is “does he have a future” which translates as will DF continue to give him game time. I went Yes.

A different question is “should he have a future” which translates as what do you as a supporter think. I would have leaned towards No to that one.

It’s semantics but just the way I interpreted the question

BA will be close to the top of the list for player of the season. He might not get it but he will be well up there.

Ditto, we paid up to 20M for him so he's gonna get chances and that amounts to having a future, albeit maybe short term

Blimey Cat, that comment was made in 2023, which at the time was true.

I was defending him back in 23 IIRC .. I don't think he's a ten or natural wing but have always maintained he's an 8 and can play what used to be called inside forward

God I loved the W formation, I always played inside left in that formation as a kid
