If Crystal Palace get £35/40m for Mateta and pay £50m for Larsen it’s only costing them £10/£15m. Even if we sell Piroe it’ll still cost us £35m +. Not worth it imo. If we do well & stay up we’ll have better options in the summer and players wanting to come to us and not a last option.
Let’s hope Larsen turns out to be a flop & Palace get relegated, DCL keeps banging the goals in and if Piroe finally gets a chance he proves everyone wrong

I'm amazed we haven't even considered Troy Parrott and he wouldn't cost 50m either, scored a hat-trick against Ajax recently also, but I'm honestly glad we didn't get Larsen as that would have been way to costly and risky

should have had backup options though - as I've said multiple times, all those around us are strengthening and will start picking up more points. Our shortsightedness may cost us again

Do we need a contingency? If DCL gets injured I am comfortable with Nmecha playing his role. Similarly happy with a 2 man combination out of DCL, Nmecha, Piroe, Okafor or Buanonotte.

Maybe next season we need to improve but what we have had this season has been good enough.
