Re: Rugby Union - 6 Nations
Back in the late 1970's I used to go out with a lass from Shipley who I met in Leeds, whenever her and her mates were pissed they would walk down teh streets singing Flower of Scotland at the top of their voices.....
Hopelessly lost.................. But making good time

I spent a bit of my childhood in Shipley. My folks had friends who lived there. Sir Titus Salt World. If I remember rightly there was a lovely walk from their flat, through some large gate posts and up on to Shipley Glenn.

It’s one of my regular walks, maybe once a month at least.
My sister lives on the other side of the wood near the Glen.

Great performance by Scotland
Lots of errors by England, but take nothing away from the Scots, better team from start to finish.

Ireland just scraped past the Italians but the Scots were brilliant. Funny old game.

Well that was fun, unfortunately though for Scotland it came at a heavy cost Jamie Ritchie , Jack Dempsey and Jamie Dobie all picking up knocks . , Dempsey and Ritchie doubtful for the rest of the championship .
I think that it was important to Scotland to get off to a good start and I England struggled to recover from the blitz in the early stages when Scotland’s confidence was sky high.
Cardiff is always a tough place to and no matter how many Welsh fans decide to turn up it won’t be easy but our confidence will be high and we can go there in good spirits

You're likely to be facing a Wales side that will be smarting from another battering by the French.Lorimer46 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 15, 2026 6:38 am Well that was fun, unfortunately though for Scotland it came at a heavy cost Jamie Ritchie , Jack Dempsey and Jamie Dobie all picking up knocks . , Dempsey and Ritchie doubtful for the rest of the championship .

It's a shame about the injuries, but if Scotland show the same determination they showed against England they should beat Wales at a canter.
That fast start was key to the win, but England made at least 3 knock ons in front of the posts, plus that Genge fumble
In a lot of ways that's testament to the pressure Scotland maintained. I didn't think England were at the races at all.

Dunno what's happened with them Swannie?
Two weeks in a row their opponents are running right through them.
They look all over the shop, and Borthwick could be catching a taxi soon.
Awful performances, and something is very wrong in that England camp.
