On a last note about not supporting your local team I went with our small local club to a God forsaken bumpy pitch on Saturday in the arse end of nowhere where we came away with a win then back to our social club for a few beers and watch the Shitty game and had a lovely evening. At the end of the days we’re all Leeds fans and all of us support the club in our own way so let’s move on.

Why should we be involved, Chapel?

I personally want to discuss yesterday's game, not get inolved in all the petty squabbles.

Well said though the fact you go to matches doesn't entitle you to have an opinion unless you can prove you were born within spitting distance of ER and still live there.

Maybe the mods should look at setting up a non-local forum so we can debate about the club we follow religiously, people like yourself, who travel the length of the country to go to games, would be welcomed as would fans from all over the world, getting up at silly hours in the morning to watch games.

Let's put it another way Paul.

If I, as a Brit, constantly taunted you with accusations of you being disloyal and negative towards the USA how would you react to me ?

I dare say you would tell me where to get off, and to focus on my own country. And that anger wouldn't be directed towards all Brits - just the ones with the gall to accuse you of those things.

The thing is if you invested lots of time with US politics, how the country is run etc then your view on the US may well be much more informed than someone living there. To follow your example Paul might be really negative about his country, it's going to sh*t and all that malarkey, but you could point out how Paul is lucky to live in the US instead of somewhere else where he might have less freedom, less wealth etc

So just cos Paul was born in the US and lives in the US doesn't automatically make him more of an expert than someone who lives and breathes american politics, who can objectively point out what is good and bad etc.

So Chapel, argue your points etc but just cos you felt like you were losing an argument you didn't have to belittle the vast majority of the Leeds fanbase. Your opinion, right or wrong, is no more, or no less, valid than any knowledgeable Leeds fan.

My post about Perri being jumped on immediately with "Sean Nile's " reply of " Why does it not surprise me in the least that you think that ? " Not debate in other words - just mocking sarcasm. I had him filtered, but then you see the post when someone else quotes it.

I had a PM yesterday from another person on here entitled " a message of support. " He has been disturbed by me being subjected to what he called " bullying " by what seems like an organised posse. By the way, in real life nobody would ever dare to attempt to bully me. Cyber bullying is for the cowards though - they probably get a feeling of empowerment which they lack in their ordinary lives.

And then Cjay's recent post ; " TBF to Chapel, his opinion gets moaned at by someone basically every time he posts. So he was probably just defending himself. "

Sorry 64, but if every post you write isn't been jumped upon when you try to debate the football then you wouldn't know what it's like.

I haven't read much of match thread, just scanned a few posts, as I was at Wembley yesterday.
Didn't even read much on my phone during the journey to & fro' as we were debating the match on the coach, crossword/puzzles/ music on headphones & managed to sleep for the final hour of our journey.

Today our midfield was very poor which let to our central defenders making errors when they were pressed.

Non-existent for much of the first-half.

DCL made some great runs but Bogle found Cucclurella every time.

Poor Jayden, three consecutive poor games and this level looking beyond him.

Footballing wise, Chelsea hardly put a foot wrong, making no mistakes whereas we made countless errors.

I'm expecting it to be the other way round on Friday night.

Like you say Chelsea are a cup team, a team for the big occasions. It is only a few months since they became world club whatevers. Their players are used to those sort of games whereas ours aren't.

1-0 and simply a case that they took 1 of their couple of opportuniteis and we missed ours. Not a great performance by us but equally not like Chelsea battered us.

Hopefully next season we get back there and go further and improve our league position too. All a case of building and will always be bumps along the way,

Yeah my Dad's a Chelsea fan. I said to him afterwards - Felt we never got going and you never really had to get out of 2nd gear.
And he was in agreement.

I watched the TNT extended highlights when I got back last night and that confirmed what a poor game it was.

There were also some incidents that I would have liked to see again that they could have easily included in place of much of the dross they showed both on the pitch and in the commentary.

There were a couple of times in the first half when okafor decided to hold onto to ball when there were runners in better positions. Could a pass have made any difference? the VAR check for the alleged hair pull was announced but no replay on the screen of the incident. Was this simply another example of a Chelsea player over reacting to any contact and rolling around as if they'd been shot? There was no mention of the tactical goalkeeping "injury" that clearly stalled our momentum in the early stages of the second half. The authorities really need to stamp down on this which they could easily do by preventing players from going within 10 yards of the technical area when the game has stopped unless for a substitution.

It was a frustrating performance ( which surprisingly didn't improve with me shouting at the highlights to get the ball forward ) and we didn't show any of the intensity that we displayed against scum and wolves. Saying that , Chelsea with their multi million pounds squad didn't batter us and though we were 2nd best we maintained our spirit and the lads should have learnt a lot from the experience. Hopefully it won't be too long before we are back again and maybe we might even score a goal.
