Pos. Played well enough despite the changes.
Neg. No help for West Ham.

Pos - turned up any dug out a result despite all the injuries. Kept the integrity of the Spurs v Hammers relegation battle intact. Nmecha, Bornauw, Willy and Longstaff all impacted off the bench

Neg - over run at times in first half. Aaronson, Tanaka and Dan looked lost at times

+ That's a run of 7 games undefeated in the league

- It seems our whole first pick left hand side is now injured with Pascal going off.

Kinda did.

West Ham only 2 points behind.

They have 2 teams left with nothing to play for, an out of form Newcastle and a possibly on the beach us

Spuds have 2 teams still hoping for European football next season, Everton and Chelsea.

Suppose, with only two games left anything could happen

- Defense like a rock again. Tough, patient, calm under pressure.
- Ampadu is a fantastic leader - as well as one hell of a footballer.
- Played for the shirt and couldve got all 3 points easily.

-
- I do not understand this preoccupation with starting Aaronson. The minute Gnonto and Nmecha came on, we were able to be way more productive and direct. We must find new attacking midfielders in the summer.
- I said before the game that Struijk has looked like the walking wounded for a couple of games and should not have started. Wouldnt be surprised if that isnt his season done. Perhaps a late decision re. Bogle forced a bit of a restructure with James being brought in.??

Positubblely, Leedsy Unitedadoodle did magnificate a draweroo with Spuds, all viggle and whirlibix despite the kicklecrash penelflub.

Negatiffically, the whitebootle lads were somewhat fumblewitted in the defendogation, permitting Spuds to sneaklebop goals into the netterbox.

Positive - Another well earned point away from home.

Neg - Playing out from the back just puts us under pressure, Crap ref that gave everything to Spurs and
where did the 13 minutes of extra time come from? Gnonto left on the bench for James to start, he is going
to leave us in the summer and I don't blame him at all.....

+ A deserved point away from home and tbh Spurs are much improved under DeZerbi. It was a brilliant defensive display from us.

- The lack of quality in depth really hurts us. We need to recruit well in summer and get some more quality players in. This season we've had to out run and out press opponents just to compete, but that isn't sustainable. The extra quality should mean we can retain the ball better and be more incisive when attacking.

On the plus side it isn't likely we'll qualify for europe so we shouldn't have many more matches next season and possibly less given how far we got in the fa cup in comparison to our usual stay in that competition.

For us to still be able to get a draw despite the injuries, and playing against a team desperate to win, shows how solid we have become as a team. 2 or 3 real quality additions should really make us strong.

I thought defensively we were sound the other night, despite having Bogle, Gudmundsson and Strujk missing.

But for long periods of that match we were dominated in midfield and we had a number of players that performed poorly: Dan James, Tanaka, Stach, Aaronson, Darlow and DCL. It could have just been a one off.

I'd be delighted if we can either replace Perri, or show faith in him, cos Darlow was very shaky against Spurs and for me Darlow is not a starting EPL goalkeeper, but ok as a number 2.

CBs are good and I thought Bornauw also did well.

James, Tanaka, Stach, Aaronson and DCL I felt were all really poor. I'd be happy to build a team around Bogle, Gudmundsson, Bijol, Rodon, Struijk, Amapadu, Okafor and Stach, but the rest either need improved upon or consigned to the bench.

After our first season in the EPL, in 2021 we brought in Jack Harrison, Dan James, Kristoffer Klaesson and Junior Firpo, and sent on loan, or released a total of 17 players for virtually zero incoming capital.

I hope our recruitment team get this window right and we can progress, cos as we saw with that 2021 window the EPL can be very unforgving.

I think that was mainly because Spurs were pressing us so well and when the ball was moved upfield by us they were fighting for 50 / 50 balls and as a result were rarely able to have time on the ball. It was a knock on effect due to the good tactics employed by Spurs.
Of course they weren't able to keep it up for 90 minutes and we came into it a wee bit.
James out of position didnt help either as he was a burden to the rest of the defence.

As for your list about the core of next seasons side I think DCL deserves to be on it too.
