If no one else can see the target you could just lie and pretend whatever you hit was actually the target.

Re: Daniel Farke
I was thinking about survival.
Farke set his targets, no one sees what they were. Survival would not be the least of them, achieving them would be genius.

Ah so Farke beats his own drum and those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

that drum beat was constant at one goal per game... for joy the tempo may have increased

Had a point to prove with LUFC, that he can keep a team in the PL. He did what was necessary back in December and abandoned his philosophy for the sake of the club and its survival, and it absolutely paid off. Bravo, Boss.
Needs to be backed in the summer so we can keep progressing. Absolutely hope he is in the dugout next season there is no question.

After the Man City game when DF changed the system to three at the back we have averaged 1.43 points per game.
Applying that across the season so far it would put us in =8th place on points with two games left to play.
So keeping DF at the helm and recruiting well for that system bodes well for next season I reckon.

Borussia Dortmund will be in contact shortly, no confirmed reports, no rumours just a wild guess and gut feeling. Probably wrong...

And i think it would be fair to say we were unlucky not to have more points during that spell. Certainly bodes well if we strengthen well to build on the great foundations we seem to have.Prisoner37 wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2026 6:15 pm After the Man City game when DF changed the system to three at the back we have averaged 1.43 points per game.

Re: Daniel Farke
The discussion around Farke - at this point, and in hindsight - has to include what I feel was perhaps the most pivotal decision made in our season.
That decision was Marathe not firing Farke before the Man City game.
I would say that virtually all of our previous owners would already have fired him - the way the season has going. In fact, a number of our previous owners would likely have been on their 3rd or even 4th manager by then.
I remember asking all those on the forum who were calling for Farke's blood, who we would replace him with at that point. None of the managers been touted as replacements would have come to a struggling club that had just been promoted, with the trend being those clubs are at very high risk of going straight back down.
So we'd have had another Marsch (just had a shiver down my spine), or a Garcia or some old Geezer being dragged out the old people's home.
I have defended Marathe and the 49ers ever since they got into the drivers seat, saying they understand the business of sport and its now clear Marathe has studied the league and the club extensively. He knew full well he had to persevere with Farke for a while - the other options were dismal.
There is a great article in The Atlantic - published in the New York Times - that talks about the Leeds season. It mentions the fact that even when things weren't going well, the players were fully behind Farke. Contrary to the negative nellies on the forum - he had NOT lost the dressing room. In fact, its clear he was building a cohesive and well motived team who played for one another.
I will add to this the fact that the upgraded stadium is in fact happening. (again, the "moaning and groaning bunch" said it was another red herring.)
I will add to that too, the fact that the 49ers invested over 200K in upgrading the medical and fitness facilities and staff. To the point we now have one of the best rates of returning injured players to fitness in the league.
Leeds United Football club right now is more financially healthy than it has been for decades.
NOW - lets look to ensure we don't go calling for high profile prima donna type players with huge price tags who will not fit into the excellent culture in the squad that Farke and his staff have built.

Re: Daniel Farke
Imo,I would like farke to stay, but he has to remember nobody is bigger than the club and unfortunately if they wishes do not align then he will be gone and if that's the case we move on .J will get flagged off for saying this he had alot of money spent to get us up on the 2nd go which then impacted on what we could do this season because of psr.
I also think the recruitment did an alright job, alot of people on here didn't think so but look at the team now Stach ,Guddmenson, okafor,Nmecha are all mainstays enough said .
