We are intent on protecting foreign criminals, we have enough of our criminal fraternity without having to contend with the world's strays. If they are not murdering, raping, molesting children, they are opening dodgy businesses in all our high streets as a front to sell drugs/ tobacco/counterfeit products.
It sickening that the government/authorities/police/social services stand back & allow these astrocities to occur right under their eyes.

I can understand the frustration - its natural to feel that way. The guilty perpetrator should be tried and locked up for a good span of time. If not there legally, throw him out fast!
However, I believe we have to be very very careful of where we channel this frustration and anger. The far right is
NOT the solution.
Trump and his MAGA cult preyed very successfully on these emotions. They fed the frustration with total nonsense like "replacement theory" and the like (remember "they're eating the dogs and eating the cats"??!!). The USA right now is on its way to being a failed state. Its is only its size that is being a barrier, and the fact that many decent Americans are fighting hard for their country to return to sanity.
MAGA are outright white supremacist idiots. They are delighted with their ICE thugs locking up - mostly legal - brown people without warrant. They break the law daily, yet claim its the illegals who are criminals. What you wont see on Fox News is the crisis now playing out in southern states like Texas in the construction and agriculture sectors, where they don't have labour for their businesses and bankruptcy is surging. Frankly most of them voted for Trump, so my heart pumps custard for them!!
The minute you brand those that don't look or sound like you as inferior, let them take over the media to only provide one message (yours), which is one of hate and fear, is the minute you have really lost your country.
The real problem in my opinion is that too many social and community services have not just been cut but ravaged over the last decades. America's problems with underfunding education and health started with Reagan. (nearly half of the populations of many Republican, southern states cannot read up to grade 12 level). The UK's started with Thatcher.
I know - call me a bleeding heart liberal, but its true. Look at what has been done with the NHS since then - by governments of all stripes.
All industrialized countries need immigration. But you cant just bring people in from foreign cultures and dump them in inner cities. I'm an immigrant who is white and speak English and it was hard enough for me!
Huge levels of support over time are required. UK ambulance services now estimate that almost half of the cases they are called to involve severe mental health problems. That is a social problem - not an immigrant problem.
I watch a great UK program showing unique surgeries - mainly at Addenbrooke and Southampton university hospitals. What wonderful places and people. I will say that probably 60% of the surgeons doing these complex, state of the art surgeries are Asian immigrants.
It would seem the UK is moving towards a Reform government. Heaven knows the current Labour government is downright clueless, but I really fear for the UK under reform. I'm sure its a case of 'give them a chance - the others are useless'. I can only hope the parliamentary system with its checks and balances can keep things from going the way the US has.
And none of that is to belittle what happened that poor guy at the hands of some deranged fuckwit. The guy with the hurley bat deserves a medal but he'll probably get lifted.
