Apparently Graham Potter rotates Svensson or Gudnundsson in the left-back role depending on the team's formation and tactical needs:
Gabi is starting for Sweden.
But don't underestimate their opponents tonight.

Ivory Coast also no slouches and have had a good run of form. Tough and physical.

My daughter’s boyfriend is a Kiwi, he didn’t want them to qualify because they’ve never lost a game at the finals.
Played 3 drew 3.

Not really, as he isn't our player.

A lovely finish, however I don't get too emotional about a footballer who had one exceptional season for Leeds.

As Tanaka didn't feature from the bench last night should the Japanese manager's decision making be called into question ?

Or maybe after watching him train the last few weeks he thinks he has better players at his disposal and will only use him when injuries and /or suspensions necessitate it.

Someone will pay 35 million for him ,i don't want him back but that goal surprised me was a cracking finish.

Indeed, it was a typical cracking finish from Summerville.

I reckon West Ham will sell him for around the £60m mark, maybe less as clubs eyeing him know the Hammers are in a financial mess!

The financial consequences of us losing that play off final were so challenging and whilst we got decent money for all 3 players that had to be sold I'd say Summerville was the better player of the three as he has goals in him.

It's a shame we had to sell him before he reached anywhere near his peak and as we saw last night he's equally as dangerous playing on the right as the left.

Didn't surprise me, we've seen it before and better

He was always good on the right ... natural right winger.

Yes but equally as good on the left as we've seen for both us and West Ham. That's a great asset to any team when a player is completely comfortable on both sides and still scores goals wherever he plays.

Sadly, Tanaka is one of the weaker players in the Japanese squad, Jammy.

Natural right winger, inverted left. One of the best players we've seen at ER since 2019. Him and Raphinha lead the way

I felt the Dutch bypassed Cry a bit yesterday, new kid in so they're not used to playing with him yet.

Well he has time to recover I guess. Not seen it as it was stupid oclock but sounds like Sweden are a force. Tunisia are not a bad team, or haven't been in the last decade or so, maybe they're no longer the team they were but surprised they qualified in that case

Best front two the Swedes had in a long time.
