There was, closed about 10 yrs ago, enormous market where I bought my leather jackets among other things..British Car Auctions is still there I think, and of course back in the 70's and 80's it was a great place to watch drag racing, (and not the men in tights version,) it was the original British drag racing strip before Santa Pod took over ...Used to go a fair bit from around 74/5
Not far from Yateley on the A30

Probably easier doing private flights from smaller airports as can likely just get in the plane and go rather than having to queue etc.

Italian media reporting that despite interest from big Italian clubs Julian Brandt is likely destined for a Premier League move with multiple clubs interested.

Not that we'd have had a chance up against Champions League, but Esteve has joined Leipzig for £27m, so £7m cheaper than big Tarik.

Is it just me whose not sure about making James Trafford one of the most expensive goalies in history based on an outstanding Championship season and hope?

No, I have reservations, Not a great premiership record with an awfully error strewn season at Burnley then City signed him to start and that lasted 2 or 3 games. I think they're thinking they can get their Philips money back

I’d be up for a look at Mavropanos.
And at the risk of annoying the contrary twins, Trafford is worth pushing the boat out for.

For rodon, tbh I though Rodon was as good for us as Mavrapanos was for West Ham... and he won't be cheap. It wouldn't be an upgrade for 20M or whateverCarrick Dave wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2026 7:33 pm I’d be up for a look at Mavropanos.

We have Rodon Bijol and Bornauw atm as our right side CB

Bornauw is for the off I reckon. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2026 7:38 pm For rodon, tbh I though Rodon was as good for us as Mavrapanos was for West Ham... and he won't be cheap. It wouldn't be an upgrade for 20M or whatever

Quality option as the fourth CB, everyone being pushed all season.

Re: Summer transfer gossip and squad discussion
Maybe, but there are other cheaper back ups... Rodon and Muharemovic should be starters with Bijol sweeper if we play one. Bijol can cover RodonCarrick Dave wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2026 7:41 pm Bornauw is for the off I reckon.

Need a second left footed CB, and if we get Shea Charles he's a CB/Sweeper/DMF/CMF anyway. Think we'd have to promise Mavrapanos playing time for him to come. His value is around 20M
We seem to be after Trafford for 35-40
Charles for 25
We absolutely need a striker unless Farke is going to use Piroe this year. (30M plus)
AMF - If it's Brandt it's be a big sign on and record wages I reckon, if not then 20-40M

Re: Summer transfer gossip and squad discussion
Bornauw looks to be a player but he won't stay if we sign another CB. I actually like what I've seen of Bornauw...
