Piroe has stuck around! Now is this just me or... if he's stuck around, that must mean he's been training extra hard to earn his place right (makes sense)? I hope Farke uses him this season: this boy can score and he can score from anywhere. Potentially our best finisher...

I remember 12 months ago saying the same thing: Piroe looks to be working incredibly hard in training. We all said he was slow, but in last years videos he was winning all the races, sprints etc. maybe the problem isn’t with the player ….

Leeds United are delighted to confirm the signing of Tarik Muharemović, who joins the club from Italian Serie A side Sassuolo on a five-year-deal for an undisclosed fee.

The towering defender becomes our second permanent addition of the summer transfer window after the signing of Harry Wilson, bringing a wealth of experience at a young age.

Muharemović was a stand-out performer for Sassuolo throughout the 2025/26 campaign as his side finished in a highly respectable 11th place. Following that fine form, the 23-year-old went on to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the FIFA World Cup this summer.

A commanding centre-back who stands at 6ft 4’ in height, Tarik began his career in Austria and made his professional debut for Wolfsberger AC in the country’s top-flight.

Just six matches with the club were enough to alert clubs from across Europe and Italian giants Juventus swooped quickly to secure his services, where Tarik was able to develop further and would go on to become a full international whilst in Turin.

In August 2024, he went on loan to Sassuolo and scored for the club in just his second game. That was the sign of an impressive season to come as the Neroverdi were crowned champions of Serie B, earning promotion back to the Italian top division.

With 30 appearances under his belt for the club, Muharemović’s move to the Mapei Stadium was made permanent. He then continued his fine form with a further 33 appearances last season across all competitions.

At international level, the central defender has also flourished with 17 senior caps to his name, having played in the UEFA Nations League, World Cup Qualifiers, World Cup Play-Offs, and ultimately this summer’s finals.

Muharemović becomes our second signing of the summer and everyone at Leeds United would like to welcome him to the club, as we continue our preparations for the 2026/27 Premier League season.

And to think some people on this forum constantly moan about our youngsters not being in the first team. We definitely need to improve this side of things though quite sensibly the club are focusing mainly on the first team at this point

None of those seem to be in our 18's or 21's. Gardner and Howson are ex players and coaches, Pudjak is also a coach, Diggle is the academy manager, Conall Arnold is a player development coach .. probably another couple of coaches in there

Darlow is a s**t. He says he did not sign a new deal and improved wage at LUFC ( his current basic wage was only £1.3 million per year) because LUFC could/would not state him as number 1 for the new season so he moves to Scum to be their number 2 or 3 BUT he is the surprise MORE MONEY

I don't think anyone wants the entire u21s in the starting line up, however the ones who are top quality should be close to the first team ie Gray, Cresswell. We moan when clubs poach our youth, but we don't give them a chance anyway.

21's aren't great atm and I do think it's lax not to address that. We financed our last promotion from Rads/Orta's great youth policy

It's not just a case of getting in 13 yr olds and waiting 8-10 years, it's about finding good/promising 16-19 yr olds from the lower leagues and developing them

I see our resident accountant having a go at someone for earning more money to do the same role. Simple he would likely have stayed if first choice as not then why not takea pay rise to sit on a bench there than here.

Darlow was a no one before joining LUFC. He has shown no loyalty to his Welsh team mates at the club or to DF who promoted him to LUFC number 1 last season. So his choice was to either have his £1.3 million basic salary increased, have a real chance of fighting for the number 1 shirt at the club who supported him and improved him, surrounded by mates and loved by the fans OR show no respect to the leeds fans by moving to the scum, no real chance of being number 1 BUT i guess more money.
